Very confortable home. We really enjoyed our visit. Time went by way too fast. Very nice quiet community. Great private beach area to swim. Particularly nice for children. Boat dock is very convenient to use your boat anytime you want to. Kitchen has everything you need. After lake swimming there is plenty of hot water for showers. Furniture is very comfortable....you will sleep well. Lake Anna and the state park are right there for you to use. Particularly during the week it is less crowded. The fishing is fun too. The fire pit is nice also (unfortunately it rained at night when we wanted to use it). We will be back to visit again!

This was our first trip to Lake Anna and we had a fabulous time! This vacation rental is in a great location. We enjoyed boating, fishing and swimming in the lake, visited Kings Dominion and Monticello as well as Fredericksburg. The state park is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the time with our family sitting around the campfire. Owners were very helpful and answered our questions, such as where the closest marinas are and grocery stores, etc. Great vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at Bluewater Retreat! Laura (owner) stayed in good contact with us from the time we first inquired until the end of our trip. The house was perfect for us (3 adults and 2 young boys, ages 5 and 7). We enjoyed the State Park Beach for swimming, the Bluewater beach for the boys to play in the sand and enjoy the fish, King's Dominion, Lakeview Restaurant, the new Food Lion for groceries (wonderful!....saved us from shopping ahead!), and just relaxing. The house is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Beds are great! AC system and ceiling fans keep you cool on hot summer days (It was 99 and up while we were there!). We had never been on the lake, so we enjoyed a wonderful time on our friends' pontoon cruising the lake and hearing the history. The rental fee was reasonable, and we highly recommend this property to families. Our youngest boy cried when we left, saying it was the "funnest trip ever". We all agreed!

So sad that we only got to stay 2 nights at this very comfortable and cozy cabin. It is a great combination of rustic and modern, all the conveniences but still warm and inviting. We definitely hope to come back!!

Our family, including 3 boys 10-14 had a great time over Spring Break. Fishing was good from the docks, nice weather, just a short walk to the water. Also had a chance to use inflatable kayak, and the outdoor fires were great.

From the time I contacted the owners of Blue Water I had nothing but the best of experiences. The price was good, a very no hassle contract and a beautiful cabin that would make anyone feel at home. Very close to fishing and things as well as clean. Thank you for a wonderful time.

It was very roomie and clean. More than enough room for 6 adults and 2 littel children. Laura was very helpful and accomodating. She checked in with me day of arrival to make sure we were set and her helpful list of grocery stores etc was nice to have.

We enjoyed out stay at this cute lake house. The house was as listed and very clean. Air conditioning works great and short walk to the water through the back of the yard was great. The docks just down the street are very nice if you have a boat. The community is beautiful with a nice little beach for the little ones to swim. This house is highly recommended.

Our family enjoyed our time at Blue Water Retreat on Lake Anna. The house was very clean and has every amenity you could need. The open downstairs area was a great gathering place for our family. The children enjoyed the bunk beds and the loft area for playing. The backyard had lots of room to spread out and to play games. We did not use the firepit but we wished we would have had time for a relaxing evening around it. The owner were very helpful giving us directions and a list of things we might need for our visit to Lake Anna. Since our visit was during a very hot week in July we were please with the air conditioning. We will certainly book Blue Water Retreat again for our family gathering.

The house was as listed, very clean and neat. It had all the amenities that were listed. The directions to the place were very good and we had no trouble finding it. The owner was very kind and helpful and easily accessible. I would recommend this place to anyone who was interested in a quiet neighborhood were you could relax and enjoy your vacation. The only drawback I saw at all was that we had to pull our boats out of the water (we had 3) when we came off the lake. Still, the ramp was only a couple of hundred yards from the house so it was not a big deal. And with three boats, parking at the house was a little tight but do-able. All-in-all, a great time was had by all and we would stay there again.
