Spacious Apartment in Historic Charlottetown

Why the Owner Chose Charlottetown
We have truly enjoyed developing the old property at 6 Grafton St. We have done extensive renovations and restorations to the exterior and interior, but the work is never done. We have plans to make the property as energy efficient and "green" as possible, and we have plans to restore another of the units into a vacation property.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
While staying at our property, you can enjoy a quiet, spacious environment right in the heart of the city. Each unit in our building has a private deck overlooking an expansive back yard highlighted by gardens and trees. Inside, our vacation unit contains a blend of modern convenience and historic charm. The beds and bedding are new and of best quality. We have a cozy den with a plasma TV, cable, wireless internet, and stereo system to entertain you on those rainy days and lazy evenings. We have a dining room for more formal occassions, or you can eat in our new and spacious kitchen, complete with new appliances, portable island, tile floor, icemaker, and much more. It's really a great way to experience everything that Charlottetown has to offer. And if it's the beach you like, the PEI National Park is a 30 minute drive and boasts the finest beaches in the world. We even provide you with a park pass and beach towels. Owner's Map of Charlottetown
My name is Heather Love and my husband Don and I live in Charlottetown, PEI, with our daughter Christina, who attends the local university. I moved to PEI from my original home in Newfoundland in 1973 and Don and I have spent the past 27 years living and working in the Charlotteotwn area. We started out together in Don's family homestead in Charlottetown, built in 1885 by his great, great, grandfather and lived in by 6 generations of his family . We eventually sold the old house in 1993, and built a new house in a suburban setting more suited to raising kids. But we missed the appeal of the old house charm, and decided, in 1994, to buy an older apartment building in the historic section of the city. After three years, we bought another, and started the long and challenging restoration process. After fifteen years and many projects, we decided, in 2009, to restore our largest apartment unit into an upscale vacation rental, in order to allow folks to experience historic Charlottetown from the inside, and to provide elegant accommodations, modern conveniences and a great location to those visiting our great little city.
