This house is in the perfect location to really enjoy Plum Island. It is on a quiet street with no thru-traffic. Just a 5 minute walk to a beautiful ocean beach on Plum Island!
About a 10 minute walk to either Mad Martha's Cafe, (where they have great breakfasts!) or the Plum Island Grille. Less than 5 minute drive to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge or to the Plum Island Point where you can board a boat for a deep sea fishing trip.
About a 10 minute drive (3 miles) to downtown Newburyport where you can find great restaurants, unique shops, the Firehouse Center for the Arts, or dinner or whale watching cruises. Come home from the beach and have a volleyball game before a cookout. Or bring your bikes to explore on.
Our family loves Plum Island and Newburyport and only wish we had more time to spend there. If you haven't yet discovered the area, you should check it out. And its so close to Boston, Metrowest or the Worcester area. (an hour to an hour and a half). And of course if you've been there you know what we are talking about!

This house was perfect for our needs

This house is beautiful and well kept and was perfect for our group. The only way it would be more perfect is if it was on the water or had a water view, but it is so close to the beach -- just a short walk -- that this really didn't matter. We found everything to be exactly as described in the ad on the VRBO website, and the photos accurately showed what the house and rooms were like. The location is very quiet and private, which is rare on Plum Island, and we appreciated this during our stay. The house itself is very spacious, cheerful and furnished very nicely. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The owner was very professional, organized, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely rent this house again on a return visit, and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to rent on Plum Island.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
