My husband and I stayed at this home when through the prior owners. We were heartbroken when we could not find this blissful solace. Then, we saw that new owners were renting it. It is even more beautiful with open, airy spaces and relaxing, comfortable bedrooms. The location is ideal. We loved it so much that we decided to rent the house for our wedding retreat. We got married on Cahoon Hollow Beach, and we could not have been happier returning to this wonderful home. It is a clean, well maintained home with thoughtful and responsive owners. We cannot wait to return.

Lovely house with all you need in Cape Cod. Right next to bike path, which is great to use to get to beach and some other places. House is about 3-4 miles from the main part of town, but since most people are using cars in Cape Cod, it doesn't make it inconvenient. Owners are pleasant to deal with, too.

WE Had a wonderful time the last week of August 2011. The house and property were well appointed, with 2 nice bathrooms,one UI, one down . Living areas and bedrooms were lovely. Pretty private deck which we attracted hummingbirds. Property is close to shopping, Marconi and the drive-in. No complaints.

We spend a wonderful week with our friends and enjoyed every minute. The house is very private and offers a lot of great features. Every morning we took a bike ride to Marconi beach to watch the sun rise! Beautiful! The house itself is very comfortable and furnished with a lot of thought and detail. We felt home the minute we opened the door. It is an ideal place to spend your vacation and we will hopefully go back next year. We can without any hesitation recommend this house as an ideal vacation destination for everybody who loves Cape Cod!!!!

The house was in excellent condition, ideally located, clean, and well maintained. The owner answered all our questions and was available to answer them during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends; I already have. We enjoyed bike rides on the trail, the beaches, an unforgettable sunset on Duck Harbor, our visit to Provincetown, a swim in a nearby pond, delicious seafood and pastries, as well as time to enjoy being together on the deck and in the family room. It was an ideal vacation!

We had a absolutely wonderful stay at this well-equipped, sunny and beautifully maintained home in Wellfleet this past summer. We found the house clean, bright and welcoming, just as the photos indicated, the kitchen extremely well equipped, the beds very comfortable, everything in good working order-- so we had a no stress time enjoying the home and the area. The owners are helpful and friendly and provide area maps and information on things to do and see in the region; books, games, cable tv keep kids and teens entertained. We loved the proximity to a beautiful bike trail, to the Wellfleet Drive In and flea market, and to Marconi Beach. I have already recommended this property to friends who will be renting it this fall, and plan to continue to recommend it to others.

We rented 2 weeks in July 2011. No shade on skylight upstairs bedroom making it very hot. The one fan designated for this room was never enough to cool the room during our 2 week rental. Dishwasher needs replacement, both vacuums do not work, no shades on living room skylights making it very hot. One window in living room did not open and the back door adjacent to the kitchen had no screen door so one could not open it for cross ventilation. Our first meal, no gas left in the outside gas grill, no meter attached to cylinder, no information on where to purchase should this occur. The owner left personal items in cabinets in the laundry area rather than locked in a secure area, then complained when the “cleaning” service reported we used private wine glasses! Take photos of everything when you arrive, our security deposit was never returned. We were told the “cleaning service” found a red stain on a blue couch. Prior to departing we cleaned extensively and we told by the absent owners that the "cleaning" service said we had left everything filthy and had used their personal items. Take photos when you arrive and before you depart. I personally cleaned the refrigerator and the "cleaning service" told the owners how filthy the refrigerator was left, not true. The owners complained we had moved the deck furniture around on the deck! The outside shower has a floor an uneven flooring that rocks while using the shower. The basement ping-pong room smells of mold and is dark and dirty. Beware of this rental property.

Owner response: After this tenants’ stay in our home they wrote in our guest book: “Perfection- bikes, trails, beaches, fantastic bake shop and ice cream. Great child-friendly house”. This was written before we needed to retain the security deposit for extra cleaning and repair of damages. Unfortunately out of all the dozens of renters with whom we've shared our home, this renter was the only person whose security deposit we were forced to retain because of the condition in which our managers found the house after these tenants left the premises. We have never withheld a deposit before or since and are hopeful that potential tenants will consider this and consider other reviews when deciding whether to rent our home in the future. We rented in Wellfleet for 20 years, raising our kids to love the Cape experience as they grew up. As long time tenants, we know what people need in a vacation rental…a clean, quiet place with all the amenities possible for a relaxed and comfortable vacation. Thus, our house has all new furniture and beds, a new refrigerator, a new grill, fresh paint, refinished floors, HD cable TV and internet, lots of books and games, and direct, speedy access to the bike trails and the beach. We love the Cape and we love sharing our house. Please focus on all of the very happy renters we continue to have, rather than on one dissatisfied and vocal customer!

The house is so well equipped, especially the kitchen. Loved having beach toys, etc. ...Loved the new appliances, electronics, and washer/dryer. Absolutely would recommend to others. Loved the location and easy acces to beaches. We will definitely be back.

How fast a week of vacation goes! We've enjoyed the rest and relaxation of Wellfleet, this wonderful house and the soothing ocean (having great seafood each night helped, too!) We will be back.

We've had a fantastic week in our first family vacation in Wellfleet in many years. We love this area and the house is so well-equippred and comfortable....We love having easy access to bay, ocean, and pond beaches. Lovely bike trails, Audubon walks, etc. This is really the perfect location.
