“Marsh View” is located on Ocean Boulevard. This 3 story condominium, beautifully nestled among some of the oldest, most beautiful and protected live oak trees in the state, overlooks one of the famous and historic “Marshes of Glynn.” Relax at the end of each day by enjoying the most beautiful sunsets from the living area, large patio, and master bedroom balcony.
From your private parking spaces directly in front of the front door, you will feel that you are entering a lovely and inviting tree house. On this ground level are two bedrooms and a connecting bath room and dressing area. One bedroom has an entrance to a very large patio which is privacy fenced and graced with the charm and beauty of a huge live oak. The other bedroom overlooks the marsh. Both bedrooms have large closets, queen beds and bestow a feeling of comfort and cheer.
As you ascend the open stair case to the 2nd floor, you will see the large beautiful live oaks from every window. This is the spacious and open family gathering place. A large fully equipped kitchen is on the back side of this living area. There you will find every thing for your gourmet cooking needs. There are lovely serving pieces, plenty of silver and plates, new appliances, and a wonderful serving bar which separates the kitchen from the eating area.
Off the kitchen, is a nice size laundry room and a separate half bath. The European antique pine dining table comfortably seats 6 adults. The living room is bright and inviting with plenty of seating area and a large TV/ Cable/DVD/VHS. The entire front wall is windows that overlook the marsh.
As you leave this level by way of another open stair case ascending to the top of this tree house, you enter the master suite. There is a sitting area, queen size bed, plenty of storage and a large dressing area and bath. There is a large sliding glass door covering one wall which leads to the balcony over looking the marsh . . . a beautiful and peaceful way to start each day as you sit and enjoy your morning coffee in the tree tops. Another TV/Cable/ VCR is located in this suite.
While we rent our “Marsh View” condo, it is also our retreat. We have tried to serve your every need and to make your stay comfortable. There are plenty of bright clean towels and linens. A children’s library, and video library, games and books are yours to enjoy while you are there. A large and very nice gas grill is located on the patio.
The beach is beyond the patio; a quick and easy walk. There is a nice boardwalk for easy access for rolling beach carts, strollers, etc. This particular area of the beach never is lost to the tides and is great during the very lowest tide.
From “Marsh View” in a matter of minutes you can walk on a sidewalk along the marsh to 4 of the most popular restaurants on the Island. Located in that area also is Ocean Motion which has kayak and bike rentals along with any other items you need for the beach. Or stroll on the beach in the early morning to the King and Prince Hotel for a cup of Starbuck’s coffee.
The intriguing Village of St. Simons is a short bike trip away. There you will find many more restaurants, pubs, gift and clothing shops, the pier, and a putt - putt course. New to the village this year is a huge resort style swimming pool and children's playground and park. In the park, you will find picnic tables and grills. The pool has permanent umbrellas and chaise lounges. The children's area of the pool is like a water park. All of this is right on the ocean beside the historic St. Simons Lighthouse and open to the public everyday from 1:00-8:00. While on this very historical island please visit our historic landmarks Fort Frederica, Bloody Marsh, The Lighthouse, and Christ Church. You will find our island very bike and walking friendly. There are sidewalks throughout the entire island.

300 Steps to Best Beach on the Island
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Tree Top
We have always loved coming to St. Simons Island. It is a very easy drive from metropolitan Atlanta. You have a choice of taking the interstate highways all the way or traveling the back country roads going through the picturesque small Georgia towns. The island is a small town family community not a highway of individual developments and motels. There are an abundance of wonderful places to shop and fabulous restaurants to meet your culinary needs.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We had rented several condominiums prior to purchasing ours. We have two grown children, and we especially enjoyed the spaciousness and privacy of the "Tree Top" Condominium floor plan. We also enjoy spending a large portion of the day on the beach playing bocce ball, swimming, walking, visiting, and picnicking. It was important to us to be in this particular area of the island, very close to a beach that is nice during both high tide and low tide. There is no beach during high tide in most areas and in some areas there is no water close by for swimming and floating during the low tide.
While on Jekyll Island be sure to visit the Historic Area which houses the cottages of some of the wealthiest industrialists of the North East and the lovely Jekyll Island Club. The Asters, Rockefelle
Great Shops and restaurants are located in the St. Simons Village. There are lovely walking paths to the children's playground and large resort style pool located near the pier.

Several friends shared this Condo for a wedding weekend and mini vacation. From the moment I stepped through the front door I felt 'at home'. The decor is bright and cheerful. The furnishings are tasteful, but more important comfortable. The three floors allow for nice privacy while the spacious patio and main floor are great areas for relaxing together. The condo was spotlessly clean. Not only was the kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need, but there were many other extra touches, such as the supply of books and games, the video library, big fluffy towels and a great gas grill, all for our use. The condo is also very conveniently located close to the beach and in walking distance to the bike rental shop and several good restaurants. The owners were very helpful in suggesting points of interest around the island. You can tell that this Condo is treated like a second home and not just another beach rental. Can highly recommend this property. We will be back!!!

Our family gathered at Marsh View for Christmas. Claudia was easy to work with and very helpful in making sure everything was ready for our arrival. Even though the previous renters left the morning of our arrival, the condo was sparkling clean when we got there. The furniture is attractive and comfortable, the kitchen extremely well stocked, the appliances in good shape, and there are lots of extras like beach chairs, dvds, games and beach toys for children. The condo design is very family friendly, with two bedrooms on the lower level and the master suite on the top level. The bedrooms have lots of closet space and best of all...extremely comfortable mattresses. The location couldn't be better - close to the beach, close to the marsh, close to The Village and convenient access to the rest of the island. There was so much to do for day trips off the island and attractions on St. Simons. There is a binder of information that was extremely helpful and included information not only from Claudia and Mac, but also previous vacationers. We absolutely recommend Marsh View and hope that we can return in the future and continue enjoying all that Marsh View and St. Simons has to offer.
Owner response:St. Simons Island is a year round community not a seasonal resort area. Therefore, all shops and restaurants on the island are open all year. The Industry for Tourism and Trade for the state of Georgia along with Glynn County Chamber of Commerce has done much to boost tourism for this particular area of the state. With the many attractions and historical sites, St. Simons Island is a wonderful vacation get away throughout the entire year.

The unit was perfect for our needs. It had the 2 bedrooms downstairs where my girls stayed and the master bedroom all the way upstairs for my wife and I. The main floor living are was nice and the kitchen was stocked with items you need. The beach was great - and the locale is such that you can take many easy day or half day trips - Savannah, Cumberland Island, Okeefenokee swamp, etc. The town has lots of nice restaurants - it also is overall very quiet and peaceful. A very nice get-away vacation. Thanks for having us.

The condo was clean and well equipped. The master on the third floor had a deck with marsh views. The 2 downstairs bedrooms were decent size and shared a bath. The second floor had a functional kitchen, a half bath, a full laundry, as well as a living area including TV and wireless internet. It was a 5 minute walk to East Beach as well as three good restaurants. Close enough to everything, yet far enough away. Claudia, the owner was good to work with. I would definitely return for another stay at this condo!

First, the pictures simply do not do this unit justice. When we arrived, we found a comfortable, well-decorated condo with three floors. The ground floor features a foyer and two bedrooms with adjoining baths. The second floor is dedicated to dining and entertaining with the kitchen, laundry, dining room, great room, and a half bath. The master suite, with its own sitting area and balcony fills the entire third floor. We are avid cooks and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. Outside, there is a large, very private patio with plenty of outdoor furniture and a top of the line Char-Broil gas grill. Everything about this condo, both inside and out, is in fantastic shape. Second, the location of this condo is as good as you'll find on St. Simon's. We were less than two blocks from our beach chairs so it was always convenient to stroll back to the condo to grab a sandwich, a little more sunscreen, or another cold beverage. I didn't put shoes on for days. In addition, we were within walking distance of several of our favorite eateries, only a short bike ride to the grocery store and the village, and we were able to slip our kayaks into the marsh just across the street. In addition, Mac and Claudia were wonderful about helping us sort out all the details. They were prompt, informative, and easy to deal with when it came time to pay the bill. This condo definitely goes on our favorites list. We'll be back often.

I have stayed in the Marshview Condo on three different occasions. The location is perfect....a short walk to the beach and short bike or car ride to all the wonderful restaurants, shopping, and other activities on St. Simons. The bright, cheery decor and fabulous linens make for a wonderful stay in this roomy home. The unit is always sparkling clean as well. This is the perfect place for a family vacation or a girls' retreat.

Our Family has stayed here several times over the past 3 years and we always come away wishing for more. It is a charming beach condo with bright and fresh colors in every space. The kitchen appliances are new and it is a joy to cook. The beach is just a nice walk and the St. Simon amenities are a short bike or car ride away. Our children and grandchildren have come with us on two occasions and they had a great time. It is spacious and great for a family vacation. We would recommend this place and have to several families.
