Wonderful stay at the Snowedinn!

Guest: David E. (Boulder, Colorado)
Date of Stay: 05/11/12 Review Submitted: 05/16/12

We booked both the main house and the guest house for my daughter's 17th birthday weekend. The kids (8 of them) stayed in the main house and my husband and I stayed in the guesthouse. Both were beautiful, clean and completely well stocked. The owner's were extremely accomodating and helpful. We enjoyed it immensely and wouldn't heistate for a minute to return. Thank you!

Wonderful weekend escape!

We so enjoyed this beautifully remodeled home in Estes Park! It was great to be just outside of town- the kids were able to sled in the back yard (we have little kids)! The flannel sheets were super comfortable and the home was perfect to sit and connect with our friends and get away for a much needed break! Thank you Cheryl for your well stocked, comfortable, inviting home- we enjoyed it so much!

Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad that you enjoyed staying in my home. The snow was an added bonus!

Awesome Experience at Snowed Inn Estes!

Guest: Greg (Loveland)
Date of Stay: 02/24/11 Review Submitted: 04/01/11

Every year, a group of men from our church attend a Men's Conference held in Estes Park, CO. This year's experience was made much more enjoyable by our stay at Snowed Inn Estes!!! We found this property to be even better than advertised. There was plenty of very comfortable sleeping room for the group of 9. Our group also used the Guest House - a cool space with a great sleeping area and the kitchenette there is a great touch. The main kitchen area was perfect for cooking for our group...lots of space and supplies provided. We enjoyed our time in the Living area as well. The open floor plan of the kitchen and living area allowed for eating, visiting, and games, etc... to all be happening simultaneously. Dan & Cheryl, the owners, were both extremely kind and helpful to us during the booking process and during our stay. Besides the property itself, their kindness was a definite draw. We definitely plan on staying there again in the future and would recommend this property for your family or group stay in Estes Park!!! Sincerely, Pastor Greg Albritton The Pentecostals of Loveland Loveland, CO

Owner response:It was wonderful renting our home to this group of men from Loveland. They treated our home with great respect and left everything clean. I look forward to hosting them again in the future. It was a great blessing talking with Pastor Greg on the phone. Thanks so much for your kind words!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday

Guest: Mom of 5 (McHenry, IL)
Date of Stay: 11/23/10 Review Submitted: 12/16/10

Snowed Inn in Estes was a great place to take our large family for a Thanksgiving Holiday. The kitchen/ dining area/ great room was where we spent the majority of our time. The kitchen had modern appliances and a well stocked kitchen so it was not difficult to have a Thanksgiving meal here. The living room area was comfortable and cozy with the beautiful decorations and fireplace. Bedrooms were nicely decorated with comfortable mattresses and plenty of extra blankets for cold winter nights. We also utilized the guest house which allowed us to spread out. There are two bathrooms in the main house and one in the guest house. Only one bathroom in the main house has a shower so it can make for a line with a large family. The bathroom in the master bedroom has a large spa tub but it would be more functional with a shower. The neighborhood is quiet and nice for walking and viewing wildlife. The house was clean and well stocked for our visit. Cheryl was very kind to work with and we would recommend this house to families both large and small.

Owner response:Thanks so much. A pleasure to accommodate this family.

Great home and location

Guest: Elaine (Colorado Springs, CO)
Date of Stay: 10/30/10 Review Submitted: 12/01/10

We thoroughly enjoyed Snowed Inn Estes for the couple of days we spent there. It was so comfortable and everything we needed was right there. All we needed to do was unpack our bags. It was soooo much better than staying at a hotel. There were elk and deer nearby for our viewing pleasure. We would definitely stay there again.

Owner response:It was our pleasure to host such wonderful guests. Thanks so much for your kind words. You are welcome anytime!

Can't wait to come back!

Guest: AMT012 (Overland Park, Kansas)
Date of Stay: 10/10/10 Review Submitted: 10/17/10

Last year we stayed somewhere that the pictures online and what we actually got were completely different, we were so dissapointed. This year, we got exactly what the pictures showed, a beautiful, clean, comfortable home. Thank you Cheryl for everything! You helped make our vacation by providing a wonderful home with everything we needed. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen, the bed was comfortable, and having my morning coffee sitting in the rocking chair made my mornings. We loved that the home was close enough to the Estes downtown and easy to get to, but we felt like it was out of the way enough and allowed us to have some privacy. The view is amazing. We have several friends and family that visit Estes yearly and have already been letting them know that this is where they should stay. We plan to be back next year, if not sooner. Thank you again Cheryl!

Owner response:What wonderful guests. The house was amazingly clean when I arrived to clean with a wonderful encouraging note. I welcome these guests back anytime!!!!1

Dust and more dust

Guest: Jayhawkers (Overland Park, KS USA)
Date of Stay: 09/17/10 Review Submitted: 10/10/10

This house was not clean. We had to clean lip prints from the glasses, found dried cereal in a bowl. Had to wash every dish BEFORE it could be used. One bowl lavatory was out of order; not repaired during our 9 day stay. The bowl lavatory in the second bathroom leaked under the vanity. The floor was dusty; all the artifical plant arragements were covered with dust. Light bulbs burned out. We had to clean bathroom mirrors before we could use the bathrooms. Positives: great porch for enjoying coffee and dessert in the evening and reading. We do not recommend this house and, obviously, we will not stay in this house again. Owners were pleasant people.

Owner response:The house had been cleaned and dusted prior to the guest arrival. The space next to the refrigerator was not cleaned during the period of time that was available during the check out of the previous guest and their check in as it was back to back. The previous guest had done the dishes and put them back in the cupboards, so I did not see a dirty glass or cereal bowl during cleaning. Parts had to be ordered for the bowl lavatory as they are vessel sinks. The complaints were addressed directly to the guest in a prompt and pleasant manner. Every effort was made during the guest stay to accommodate their needs. Guests were offered a large discount for another stay and declined the opportunity to stay in my home at another time.

Anniversary-family reunion

Guest: Jack & Jan (Iowa)
Date of Stay: 09/22/09 Review Submitted: 10/01/09

This mountain home was everything we had hoped for and more. The bedrooms were all large, the kitchen was first rate and we wanted for nothing as the owners have added so many amenities here and throughout the house that you ordinarily don't find in most rentals. We made good use of the large and comfortable front porch and reminisced for hours. Our family of 12 fit comfortably in the cabin and guest house. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. We had a family picture taken in the back against the boulders to celebrate our anniversary and family reunion. This is a great home to rent for large groups.

Perfect!

Date of Stay: 08/21/09 Review Submitted: 08/27/09

My family and I rented both the main house and the guest house. We loved them both! The owners have created a genuine mountain feel in this place- it did these Texans a world of good! Each room is tastefully appointed and comfortable! The gourmet kitchen is large and easy to use, with all things necessary to create a full meal. The rock fireplace was an unexpected thrill for us, as the nights actually got cold enough for us to use it. There is plenty of seating, and comfortable seating too! It's proximity to Estes Park and to Rocky Mountain National Park made it a perfect destination for all of us, grandparents, parents and teens alike. The wifi was a big plus for the teens! Great for Families!

perfect!

Date of Stay: 06/17/09 Review Submitted: 06/25/09

My family, as well as 3 other families, rented this clean and comfortable home and guest house for 3 nights this summer. It was just perfect! The decor was great--and amentities (DVD player, DVDs, games, deck/patio, etc) made us feel right at home with our 3 little boys in tow! We felt like it was a great home for kids (no stairs inside the home), but would also work very well for couples of all ages. Cheryl, the owner, was very professional and organized. We would all love to come back and stay at Snowed Inn Estes again. Just what we were looking for.

Snowed Inn Estes well decorated

Snowed Inn was a good value for a very well decorated home. Perfect for any family get together. The only down side is that it isn't in an area with trees, but the property compensates by being particularly charming.

Snowed Inn is an excellent place to stay. It is close to Estes Park but yet not in the city. Close to excellent hiking too. The accommodations were perfect for a large group here for a wedding/reunion. We loved the decor. It had everything we needed. The guest house was great too for our large group. The scenery is beautiful here in September.

Date of Stay: 08/12/08 Review Submitted: 08/19/08

Cheryl was so helpful in accomodating our family reunion. She was conscientious in all of her correspondance. The homes were really nice- very clean and tastefully decorated. We had 4 households there (including the guest house), and everybody enjoyed out stay at Snowed Inn. The hill behind the homes was just great for hikes with the children (and adults!). And we always enjoy God's creation in Estes Park. If we come back to Estes, we'll most likely come back to Snowed Inn! Thanks again, Cheryl.

Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind comments! Hope to see you again!

My co-workers and I went to Snowed Inn for a work retreat fall of 2003. We found the cottage very comfortable and spacious. The rooms were all decorated in mountain and animal themes complete with white lights and a fireplace. We worked hard but the accomodations helped us relax and cooking meals for the group was a breeze in the large kitchen. Its a great place to stay for family's, couples, or a work group!
