Year Purchased: 2006
My wife Kathy and I (Bob) fell in love with Kauai, and specifically the North Shore, in the early 1990s. After deciding we wanted to own a place on Kauai we shopped for a lot in the Princeville resort area for 2 1/2 years before finding this spot in late 2001. We then worked with local architect, Mark Eyler, to design and build (builder - Tom Bryan) our dream house, finishing it at the end of 2006. We designed it to be a place for sharing time and making memories with family and friends. We wanted to share this experience with others so we rent it out and donate week long stays as auction items for our favorite charities. We hope you fall in love with Kauai and Aloha Lani as we have.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
The west facing view from the back of the house displays the mountains and waterfalls in the morning with the sun lighting them up as it rises from the East. Then as the sun sets, it's golden/red glow silhouettes the mountain and Norfolk Island Pines along the fairway at sunset. What a great way to begin and end a day. We also liked having the beautiful golf course at our back door. Like having a huge park as your backyard.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The serene setting is close to shopping, resort amenities, fabulous golf, terrific beaches, fine dining (if you aren't cooking at home), and recreation activities. Even though all these things are close, the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing.
