Key West Attitude
Nestled among palmetto and cedar trees, this oceanfront home provides seclusion on an already tranquil island, a few steps away from the beach. Our home is fully equipped for your vacation enjoyment. In 2010, we installed a new front door. WOW, it makes a huge difference and just opens up the living space with LOTS of light. In 2011, we reworked the rooftop deck and purchased new leather sofas for the living room.
The large great room with cathedral ceiling, expansive windows, and screen porch provides the perfect place for relaxing. Wake up to beautiful sunrises (summer season) while enjoying breakfast at the bay window overlooking the beach and ocean. The four bedrooms and three full baths provide plenty of room for families or couples to share a vacation together. Two bedrooms have full ocean views, with walk access to the deck. An enclosed hot/cold shower on the way back from the beach is added convenience.
PLUS, we now have a blue golf cart available during your stay for $200/week. This makes your stay even more enjoyable and provides a fun way to access the community pool complex (olympic size pool, baby pool, tennis, volleyball, playground, exercise room).
This house resides on Harbor Island. Harbor Island is a quaint, beach community boasting both ocean front and marsh view homes. Relax and watch amazing sunsets over the majestic salt water marshes or wake up to beaufiful sunrises over the ocean!
We have new luxury mattresses for our King (2) and Queen (1) bedrooms. Sleep peacefully so that you can fully enjoy this well deserved vacation!!
Bedroom layout:
Right oceanfront bedroom: Luxury King mattress with private master bath and private access to deck.
Right front side bedroom: 2 sets of bunk beds (one is twin on twin and one is full on full). This bedroom shares the hall bath.
Left oceanfront bedroom: Luxury King mattress with access to deck. This bedroom shares a bathroom with the Queen bedroom.
Left front side bedroom: Luxury Queen mattress.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Key West home. We rented the home for a month. What a lovely, well-cared for home. Not only was the view of the ocean breathtaking; but the home's interior design more than met the functional and spiritual needs of our family...Talk about serenity! We stumbled upon this beautiful, piece of paradise during a time when our mother lost a son/we lost a dear brother to cancer. Greta/the owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. We hated to leave; but, when we left, I can honestly say, we all felt better....my husband and I were able to say "goodbye" to our brother...my mother was at peace. If you want to visit a piece of paradise that is family friendly and filled with natural beauty, visit the Key West Attitude.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Ron and I moved our family here in 2004 from Atlanta, Georgia. We had visited for several years and then decided to make the move and settle our family in the low country. We have never looked back. We live on a tidal creek and our children love to swim during the summer, go crabbing off our dock, and get muddy at low tide. The history of Beaufort surrounds you. Beaufort is the second-oldest city in South Carolina and was founded in 1711. There is much to explore in this area.
Why the Owner Chose Harbor Island:
We chose to buy this home because the setting was perfect; the rooftop deck was alluring; the views were spectacular. The layout of our home is wonderful for families and our favorite space is the breakfast table where we watch dolphins playing in the ocean. We found Harbor Island to be quiet, secluded, off the beaten path and we like that kind of location for a family vacation. Once we started coming here more frequently, we then noticed all of the birds that pass through our island. We recently became an IBA (Important Bird Area) for the Audubon Society.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Staying in this home allows you to be extremely comfortable while enjoying time with family and friends. You can spread out into the living room, kithchen, screen porch, or rooftop deck. The beach is literally, just down a few steps!!! We have a grassy area for small children to play safely while parents may be busy inside the home. Harbor Island is small, so a fun way to travel is by golf cart. We own a golf cart available for your use during your stay ($200/week).
