This small hamlet with its various farmhouse accommodations is situated only 2 kilometres from the famous wine town Castellina in Chianti with shopping facilities and restaurants. Other famous towns and cities such as Florence, Siena, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, as well as San Gimignano, Lucca, Pistoia, Arezzo are only a one hour away.
If you drive a bit more, you will find Cortona, Perugia or Pisa and Lucca ; even day trips by train or car to Rome, Milano or Venice are possible. In this small family style hamlet our sophisticated guests will find undisturbed and unspoiled nature, silence, sun, good food (cookery courses) fantastic wines and lots of peace.
This 76 ha large property, situated amidst the natural resort area of the "Oasis del Chianti" guarantees absolute privacy and peace.
Closed to the main roads (500m) & motorways (10km) it's ideal for excursions & sightseeing. Perfect as starting point for hiking (marked trails), & biking trips. Bird & game watchers will be thrilled by the variety of animals that one may see passing by.

"CASA ACACIA" This rustic Tuscan farm house portion, flanked by "Casa Pineta" is the oldest of all houses. Originally built with handpicked quarry stones from the surrounding olive-groves it used to be animal stables and hayloft. Though completely renovated 12 years ago it still maintains its typical country flair with its 300 years old vault and beam ceilings, cotto-tiled floors and original open fireplace.
This charming house portion has more then 120 square meters living space divided partly on a 1st and 2nd floor level as follows:
Access is by some steps up to the fully equipped kitchen(4flame gas stove, oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, coffemachine, toaster, etc. etc.)with dining area, 2 cosy bedrooms with double beds, 1 bathroom with shower/WC - all rooms still have their original beautiful ancient vault ceilings and are handpainted in warm Tuscan colours of soft yellow, apricot green. This cosy atmosphere is enhanced by same colour linen and towels.
Through one of the bedrooms access down some steps into the lovely rose-covered wintergarten-style sittingroom. Its large glass doors open onto the terrace with endless seeming views. The perfect place for al-fresco dining.
Upstairs another, smaller summer kitchen and large bedroom with double bed. The joining sitting room (open fireplace, double sofa bed) with its stunning loft ceiling is unique of his kind. Some steps up to the smart bathroom with shower/WC. Also from these rooms beautiful views.
Outside area: large courtyard terrace in sun-rise positon as well as a second sun-flooded south-directed terrace (with barbeque pit) overlooking the swimmingpool as well as playground area. From this terrace also access to the rose-covered wintergarden-sittingroom. Both terraces have plenty of garden furniture.
Take your aperitivo or meet for al-fresco dining with other guests on one of terraces overlloking the broom and juniper covered hills of this beautidul valley.
Or take a dip in the large community swimming pool that you share with very few other guests (5,5x11x1,50m and 2x3m splashpool entrance platform for the smallest, ). The extended leisure areas and wellcared gardens are equipped with garden furniture, the childrens playground with soccer field, ping-pong table, sandbox with fairhouse and swing.

Why the Owner Chose Castellina in Chianti
Was infected with the "Tusan virus" after my first visit (like so many others) some 30 years ago and after various vacations decided to finally settle in the heart of Tuscany - the Chianti Classico" area. Here I found everything I ever longed for - nature, peace, clean air, good food and fantastic wines and culture of the highest level. After some years I decided to share my experiences (also cooking) with guest from all over the world and opened a rental activity.
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse
there are few places that are so central to everything, and offer so much - located only 500 m from the main road but in absolute silence of the surrounding nature (the only nature preserve area in the Siena region) - you are closed to most important sights and places of Tuscany - 5 min to the next town, so social contacts are guaranteed - less then 1 hours from the next major airport (Florence) so getting here is no problem - fantastic marked trekking trails starting from your doorstep (stunning nature in winter or spring) , biking of the finest (on the tracks of the Giro d'Italia, golfing with the elite, or simply enjoying a glass of wine, some pecorino cheese on your personal patio, watching deer and wild boar pass by, Tuscan eagles soaring above this magnificant privately owned valley - what can one ask more for
