Why the Owner Chose Ocean City
As children, both my wife and I grew up spending our summers in Ocean City. As yoga teachers, we often facilitate beach retreats, and bring our students to Ocean City to experience the ocean and the calm quiet of the off-season time. We have so many great memories associated with this place, that it was a natural fit to decide to buy here when the time was right. After looking for a month or so with a great realtor, we were able to narrow down what we wanted - a second floor location towards the end of the island. The street that we bought on is perfect, as it is one of the more narrow parts of the island and affords us a rooftop ocean view and an easy walk to the beach, with all the amenities we will need to make new memories for many years to come!
The Unique Benefits at this 2nd Floor Condo
We like being able to sleep with the doors open in the summer, hearing the sound of the waves in the background. The easy walk to the beach, for which we only have to cross one small street. As surfers, it is particularly nice to be able to check out the waves from the rooftop deck before gearing up and heading out. In addition, the deck allows us to watch the sunrise, while doing our yoga and meditation practices. In the evening, we enjoying sitting on the deck and watching the sun go down over the bay - it's the best of both worlds. For recreation, we love being able to walk with the kids to the 34th Street playground, or play tennis in that same location. Heading to the boardwalk without a car is easy, as the
shuttle bus picks us up at 34th and takes us right down to the action. We are also close enough to the boards to ride our bikes, which we enjoy frequently. Another bonus about our location is the easy walk to Uncle Bill's Pancake house on 40th st. and church on Sunday mornings. We have stocked our kitchen with tools and utensils that make cooking easy, and often enjoy a meal of freshly-caught home cooked seafood on one of our three lovely outdoor decks.
