The Lilypad is a great, escape. Upon arrival you will have a spacious, spotless 40ft houseboat for you and your guests.
Bright and spacious with incredible views from any one of the three decks or from inside you will see classic sailboats, motor yachts, fishing vessels and the most unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. You will wake up to the gentle rocking of the ocean while being comfortable in a tranquil enviornment. At the begining of the day enjoy hot coffee on the front deck, take a swim off of the houseboat, get some sun and at the end of the day relax on the upperdeck with a cocktail under the stars. See what it's like to 'live on the water' and what being in Newport is really about. The Lilypad.
During the summer the Lilypad is moored in Newport Harbor. You will have 360 degree water views, see manions on rolling greens and boats going by. The summer months are loaded with great events, music festivals, the tennis hall of fame and world class regatta's. September and October are some of the best months. The ocean is warm, the town slows down and the surroundings are vibrant. We offer full time water taxi service to get you back and forth into downtown Newport and back to the Lilypad. The water taxi takes you through Newport Harbor which is great because it's like having a personal tour which you would not see if you where staying in town. Once you arrive you don't have to drive again until you leave.
Feel free to bring your own provisions and cook on board. If you prefer not to cook we can provide catering/provisioning for small intimate dinners, birthday and cocktail parties!
The Lilypad will be available year round. We bring the Lilypad to a marina in downtown Newport October15-May15 where she will be dockside. While staying onboard during this time period you will have access to a indoor, heated pool and sauna. You will also be in walking distance to great restaurants, stylish boutiques and historical landmarks. There are a lot of festivals and events to enjoy during the fall and winter months and the city by the sea is beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The rates are $125-$200p/n tax included.

The Lilypad was a perfect getaway for our anniversary. The owner was very helpful and the boat was cozy, comfortable beds and sitting areas. It is hard to imagine a better view to wake up to then the one from bed looking at all the beautiful sailboats rocking in the water! Newport has so much to office we had to stay an extra day! Its hard to find a place that meets the requirements of both of us but with the lilypad we were both saying "Best Vacation" in years! Relaxing and tranquil. Lots of great hotspots, great shops, cliffwalk and the Mansions, WOW! Benjamens for food is a +++++!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a unique expererience we would highly recommend! Although we were docked and did not utilize the water taxi, we will certainly visit the Newport Harbor again! My husband and I, with our 11 year old son, stayed on the Lilypad over the Labor Day weekend. What a blast! Our son was so excited to stay on a houseboat. On a scale of 1 to 10, he rated our stay a 1,000! Relaxing on the upper deck was fantastic. Taking the water taxis to shore was so easy. The owner greeted us on arrival and took us out to the Lilypad to give us a tour and instructions; she was so great and responded promptly to texts, emails and phone calls. It was a very relaxing couple of days and we hope to do it again next year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The Lilypad was the most exciting and relaxing vacation we have had. The beautiful harbor and the sunsets are unbelieveable. The house boat was cozy and very comfortable, we loved the upper deck and you could see for miles. Access to all the action on land was great, just a call to "Zoom" and we were roaming the streets of Newport. We will definitely be back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The Lilypad was absolutely adorable and fun. We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitetly go back again. Nothing better than being surrounded by beautiful views and wonderful breezes. Happy New Year! We are now accepting reservations through the fall,winter and spring. Our rates for winter/spring start at $125.00 per night.
We require a 50% deposit of the total to hold the reservation. The balance is due one week before arrival.
