If you're looking for a little slice of heaven look no further then this property. Perfect location and no detail overlooked. This property is wonderful. Every possible amenity available while retaining a wonderful 'beachy chic' ambience. The owners and caretakers were a real pleasure to work with. It was hard to leave and left us wanting more. We would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a romantic getaway to a mini family reunion. We can't wait to go back!

We had a FABULOUS time at the Beachwood House during our weeklong stay in July 2010. The house is a pleasant mix of historical character integrated with modern amenities and design. Our 14-year old daughter loved the feel of her Anne of Green Gables – style bedroom, and our 8-year old son enjoyed exploring the huge grounds and all the various games provided. The huge lawn was wonderful for relaxing with our dog and for more active pursuits with the kids (kite flying, bocce). During our stay we saw eagles, herons and bunnies right on the property, all from the comfort of the spacious deck. Courtenay has many beautiful parks and family-oriented amenities, and we loved that the oceanside bike trail is accessible from less than a block away from Beachwood House.

Vancouver Island is such a beautiful place, it is hard to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beachwood House. It was a pleasure to arrive to such a welcoming home. Beautifully appointed, spacious and so clean. It was perfect. From walking out on the gorgeous sand spits at low tide to skiing under blue skies at Mount Washington ... doesn't get any better. We would also like to let you know how much we appreciate the pet friendly aspect of Beachwood House. Also, our greeter was great. Friendly, helpful and professional.

"We really enjoyed our time at the Beach House. The house was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Our kids were captivated by the wild life just outside their front door. We watched three Bald Eagles land in one tree at the corner of the property one morning for breakfast. One night a deer munched on the fallen apples. Lots of little crabs to observe and beachcombing to do. We found your property conveniently located for lots of activities - Courtenay riverside biking trail, shopping, Denman Island, hiking..."
