It seems only appropriate that traveling to Daufuskie Island, a place that is different from any spot on earth, would require a journey like no other!
Surrounded by water, Daufuskie lies one mile off the coast of Hilton Head Island. No bridge connects Daufuskie Island to the mainland. To reach the Island, visitors board a fleet of private ferries that run on a set schedule. Water taxis also travel between the famous Harbour Town to Haig Point, whisking guests from the quiet sanctuary of Daufuskie to the bright lights and big city pleasures of Hilton Head in a little over six minutes.
Golf carts are used as the main transportation on the Island. The private club is very exclusive and will provide our guests with an incredible experience. Dining within the resort is available. This Non-Smoking house is a cottage design with wide verandahs in the front and back, as well as a screened in porch . The home was recently renovated and is beautifully appointed with hardwood floors throughout.
For those privileged to experience it, there is an enchantment to Daufuskie that has nothing to do with man’s creations... And everything to do with the twinkle of stars in the clear night sky, the calling of a whippoorwill at dusk, the breath of the sea air, and the warmth of the sun and sand.
