"FIRST COLONY" is on the front row in Destiny by the Sea. It is the corner lot only steps away from the main boardwalk. If you have already stayed in Destiny by the Sea, then you have walked by our home many times on your way to the beach. We have owned "First Colony" for 5 years and never rented it. This magnificent home is new to the rental market starting in 2009. Don't delay this home will rent quickly due to the location. Avoid those long walks to the beach when you have to lug kids, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc. Not a problem with this location, it is the most convenient in the entire subdivision. Also, the community pool is just across the street. (The baby monitor works if you lounge by the pool and let the little one nap at the house.)
This beautiful 3-story home is on a huge corner lot and has huge wrap-around balconies with seating and ocean views on all 3 floors. It is magnificently decorated with custom furnishings. Granite counter tops everywhere and tile throughout. Televisions in every bedroom. The elevator serves all 3 floors.
The first floor has 2 bedrooms (a queen in one and extra long twins in the other), 2 full baths and a den/play room. The den/play room has a very comfortable queen sofa sleeper and a morning kitchen. You can easily sleep 6 people on the first floor. The laundry room is also located on this floor which boasts 2 washers and 2 dryers. An oversized garage provides space for parking and leaves plenty of space for beach gear, golf clubs, etc. We have plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available for your use. There is an extra full size refrigerator in the garage to store your beach drinks.
The second floor (main floor) has a full sized kitchen with everything you will need, ready to accommodate small or large groups. A large family sitting area with TV and fireplace. A half bath is convenient to the kitchen. One of the best features of this floor is the oversized dining room table (we can seat 12 at it) which makes for great family dinners and a great place for good conversation afterwards. The kitchen high bar provides 2 more eating stations. One of the 3 master suites is on this floor. It has a king size bed, a sofa twin sleeper, a bathroom with a huge shower and a separate jetted Jacuzzi tub and a private balcony with an ocean view. The closet is large enough to accommodate our port-a-crib which makes a nice quiet place for the little ones' afternoon nap.
The third floor has 2 master suites, a small bedroom with bunk beds (the top is a twin bunk and the bottom is a queen bunk), a wet bar with ice maker and a family sitting area with a TV. The owners' master suite is beautifully decorated and includes a king size bed, a desk, a reading area, a really huge walk in closet, a fireplace and a bathroom with a walk-around shower and a jetted Jacuzzi tub as well as doors that open up to the balcony with a direct view of the ocean. The other master suite on this floor has a king size bed, a twin sofa sleeper, a port-a-crib, a huge bath with shower, a separate jetted Jacuzzi tub and a private balcony with an ocean view.
