Nestled on a hillside overlooking a natural setting in the nicest neighborhood of the resort, this top floor unit, (owner has an office below with separate entrance), enjoys quiet privacy with gorgeous mountain views and sunsets from it's open, spacious 2,100 foot floor plan with 10 ft ceilings. and covered lanai. You can catch glimpses of the surrounding golf course through the trees and are only three minutes from Camps restaurant, the pro shop and the resort's amenities, which include two swimming pools, large hot tub, fitness center and tennis courts. The highly rated Greenhorncreek golfcourse is open to the public at very reasonable rates. There is room for parking a boat in front of the house and Melones Reservoire is only fifteen minutes drive. For high country enthusiasts, Alpine Lake and Bear Valley Ski Resort are only 1hr and 30 minutes away. There are literally dozens of wineries to visit within a very short distance and the highly acclaimed town of Murphys, with it's great restaurants shops and winetasiting is only fifteen minutes up the road.

The house was perfect. We had a party of 12 and used it as a weekend retreat. The rooms were complete with plenty of blankets and sheets, the beds (& couches) were comfy, and there were extra futons so people could sleep on the floor. The house has plenty of windows to let in the morning sunlight. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, cups, utensils, and everything else you need to cook a decent meal. We even made brownies! There are grocery stores nearby in case you forget anything and plenty of outdoor activities within a 20 minute drive. There are also two community pools and a hot tub, all of which were at the perfect temperature. The house is in a great and safe neighborhood that is easily accessible by car. There are also many wineries along Route 4. The homeowner is kind and easy to work with. I recommend this house to anyone and everyone. You will definitely have a great time.

Writing about this lovely vacation home is akin to sharing a fiercely guarded secret family recipe with the masses! It truly was an amazing find, and one that quickly came to feel like our own home away from home, one that we hope to return to and enjoy many times over. As a young family, the house and location were perfect for our traveling band, with its generous layout, ample room to freely roam about and gorgeous views. The house was tastefully furnished with touches of beauty and visual interest sprinkled about, just the perfect balance of warmth without being overly cluttered and styled. We enjoyed the sunlight streaming through the windows in the morning, the lovely views of the golden hills and quaking aspens at dusk, and the quiet, peaceful community with neighbors that waved good morning and always greeted us as though we were amongst friends. Our girls played in the pool, enjoyed long walks down the winding roads of the gorgeous community, and slept like little angels in their comfy beds. We cooked most of our meals in the spacious kitchen, enjoying them with the evening view of setting sun and golden light on the outdoor lanai, watching the slow trickle of golf carts and dog walkers making their evening rounds. Even in the midst of the last of the summer heat, the house was comfortable and cool, allowing us to indulge in nightly soaks in the jacuzzi tub. The beds themselves were a definite highlight, especially for a sleep-deprived mom for whom sleep has been elusive! The feather bed toppers and plush mattresses were a dream to sleep on, surrounded by the beautiful frame of the canopy bed and gorgeous dressing screen. Angels Camp provided all of the amenities of home - well stocked grocery stores, nearby drugstores for last minute supplies and was within half an hour to most of our destinations. We enjoyed the surprising beauty of White Pines lake, the quaint boutiques downtown in Murphys, the "living museum" of Columbia State Park and the wonderful Utica Park in Angels Camp itself. The house is perfectly located for quick jaunts out to each of these points of interest, and allowed for quick day trips in-between nap times. Mike's Pizza was our favorite meal of the trip, and the barbecue chicken pizza was a surprise hit with all of our resident foodies. John was also a surprise gift to our family, a kind and gentle spirit who warmly welcomed and made us feel right at home. We truly enjoyed a much needed respite and retreat!

We ( 2 families, 9 people) stayed at John's house for a week. A third family joined us for dinner on several nights. The house was wonderful. It was clean and well kept, with plenty of roon for all of us. The beds were very comfortable. on the resort course. We felt right at home. The listing is very acurate. John was very responsive when we were scheduling our trip. I highly recommend staying here. We really enjoyed our stay. We spent days boating and fishing on New Melones Reservoir, visited the Big Trees State Park, Alpine Lake and played golf on the resort course. The golf course is very nice with very reasonable reates. We are already discussing returning in the future. We ate at Mikes pizza more than once during the week, it was very good. We had a great time.

We spent the July 17th weekend at John's Greenhorn Creek house and it was perfect! the house is amazing, with everything you would need. The resort is beautiful with views, a great pool for the kids and located close to Gold Rush sites and the mountains. Will definitely come back!
