Why the Owner Chose Richmond

Lake Street is one of the prettiest streets in San Francisco. The street is a long, flat boulevard that runs along the Presidio so it is edged by wilderness along the entire length. It is a perfect neighborhood for kids as it is safe and easy to walk and filled the parks to play in. We chose the Richmond for its proximity to all the special sites in the city, including the Presidio, the Golden Gate Park and the beaches. There are shopping streets and many parks within a few blocks. It is close to all parts of the city and only a 2 minute drive to the Golden Gate bridge, making getting to Marin or Napa very easy and fast.

Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay here. This is a beautiful house with lots of character in a quiet neighborhood. Our 2 pre-teens loved the trampoline and treehouse, and felt right at home here. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the spacious surroundings, the well equipped kitchen and the views of Golden Gate (when the fog permitted). We frequented the great coffee shop nearby every morning, and had to choose from dozens of small eateries / restaurants within a ten minute walk. If you don't mind walking, there's no need for a car, and transit service is handy once you figure out the SF Muni site. A bus ride downtown and a cab ride back was cheaper and easier than trying to find parking downtown -- and we did both. Our only regret was not spending more time in the nearby parks. There are a number of reasons we prefer home rentals to hotels, and this house met all of them for us.

We loved this wonderful home in the best of all settings, so convenient to so many of SF's most famous attractions. The home is so open and sunny and cheerful. It is spotlessly clean and the neighbors and neighborhood are best ! We'll be back for sure.
