If you love to slow down to the,"Oh Yeah, now this is a vacation" than this is the place to be. I only hope that not too many people find out about Pelicans Nest so that there will be openings for us to come back. Thank-you for sharing your piece of tranquility with us Northerners! p.s. The dogs are wiped out! They say thank-you too!

We spent 5 nights at the Pelican's Nest and we loved every minute of it!! This owner has thought of everything! The house was clean and the listing is accurate. The pictures don't do this home justice. It was much bigger than we thought. We were sad to leave, but know where we will be staying when we go back!

My husband and I had the pleasure of renting this home from June 26-30. We were pleased to find everything we needed right at our fingertips. Pelican's Nest is very clean, comfortable, and affordable. Abby, our border collie mix, felt right at home as well. The walk to the beach isn't bad at all... even when you get caught in a storm midway! We were unsure about the oil situation, but we were so happy to find that there was NO OIL at Cape San Blas. In fact, there is still no oil at Cape San Blas. The beach is beautiful and seems to stretch on forever. You won't regret your visit to Cape San Blas or Pelican's Nest. We also had the opportunity to go kayaking for the first time during our stay. We went to Happy Ours Kayaks (turn left out of Cape Dunes and go about 1/4-1/2 mile, Happy Ours is on the right). The experience was wonderful. After a quick lesson on how to maneuver the kayak, we were off to a great morning of kayaking in St. Joe Bay. Dan and Debbie (owners of Happy Ours) were helpful in so many ways! We can't wait to go back and visit them again.

The weather was great. We took long beach walks, shopped in Apalachacola, ate lunch at the Grill. Cooked on the grill, lazed in the sun. We saw & discovered peach & quiet, great seafood, loads of shells & driftwood, and nice folks. We watched the sunset from the beach every day. Took beach photos at sunrise, watched crashing pelican's and many many dolphin right by the shore. We had a great time doing almost nothing, which was our goal. Great locals, awesome seafood, quiet. We can't wait to do it again.

The house exceeded my expectations. It was clean and well equipped, not to mention beautifully decorated. We hated to leave and are already looking forward to a return trip next summer. It was the most relaxing vacation I have had in years! thank you.

This is a very nice beach house. It is spacious and well decorated. Our family really enjoyed its close proximity to the beach as well as convenience to nearby activities. We look forward to returning next year! Thanks!

This house is great. Everything has been thought of: sand toys, beach chairs, cooler, and even a buggy to get it all to the beach. There is plenty of parking for a boat. Comfy beds and LOTS of towels. Is a bit of a walk to the beach but the buggy made it easy(plus it kept the kids from sneaking to the beach!). NOTE: anchor any sun tents on beach well, ours blew away!!

The weather was perfect! 80-90 & sunny every day. The kids caught lots of sharks & catfish at the beach. We saw a sea turtle making her way up the beach (amazing)! Lots of dolphins. Drove to St George Island, rode bikes & wave runners. The beach house is really great. We are glad we stayed here.

We found the home to be just as described - rooms were spacious, especially bedrooms & kitchen - comfortable beds, well equiped kitchen. The houses in the area were kept up nice - in a quiet, secure subdivision. Great value for the price! It was our 1st visit to the Cape area - very relaxing & beautiful - great sunsets & good shelling West of lighthouse area. We enjoyed a half day fishing trip. The West side of Cape is especially beautiful. We will be back.
