Newly and completely renovated Cape Cod style house features a well appointed kitchen with gas cook top and granite counters. There are hardwood and tile floors throughout the house which includes a formal dining room and office. The large ground floor office has an HDTV, full sofa bed and 1/2 bath and could be used as a fourth bedroom. Master bedroom with king bed and private bath downstairs. Two large bedrooms with a shared bath upstairs - one bedroom with queen and one with twin beds. All rooms have large windows and good natural light throughout.

It is on an extra wide lot with privacy and plenty of parking on the property - room for parking a boat. We grew up in South Carolina and have immediate family living in the Charleston area. We love historical downtown and the nearby beaches and waterways.
The Unique Benefits at this House
With family and friends scattered throughout the country, we have hosted numerous reunions. The great weather, restaurants, golfing, sightseeing destinations, and shopping opportunities have provided activities for everyone. We always like to have at least one fishing/boating outing and have out-of- towners discover the water wildlife, marshes and low country waterways.

We stayed here with two other couples for a long weekend. The house is beautifully restored and maintained and has wonderful space for cooking and eating, and relaxing both inside and outside. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located - about 10 minutes to drive either to downtown Charleston or to Folly Beach. There are stores and restaurants within 5 minutes, including a few locally owned shops and restaurants within walking distance. When we first arrived, the refrigerator was not working. When notified, the owner dealt with it completely and immediately. I don't bring this up to be critical, but rather to point out how conscientious the owners are about providing a good experience for their renters. We highly recommend this location, and definitely hope to go back.

My daughter and I stayed in this beautiful home for a long weekend. The house is completely renovated with large spacious rooms, large bathrooms and plenty of closet space. The kitchen is well appointed. The yard is absolutely gorgeous. We were able to quickly taxi downtown and the drive to the beach took only moments. This is obviously a well cared for home for the owners. Ellen was gracious and took the time to recommend restaurants and local destinations. Many thanks for allowing us to visit your home! We came to Charleston for an annual girls weekend and are so glad we found this house! It comfortably fit all five of us and was well maintained and clean. One of the biggest perks was it was between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach so about a 15 drive to either. The owners were friendly and easy to work with. I look forward to my next trip to Charleston!

We very much enjoyed our recent trip to Charleston and the rental of this lovely house on James Island. The house is older, but very well renovated, spacious and well equipped. Much of the furniture is antique and very interesting. We particularly enjoyed the screened porch. This home is highly recommended!
