You are 2 blks to Duval Street and all main attractions and best beach on the island, Fort Zachary Beach Park. There's off street secure parking. Master Bedroom is queen bed, quest bed has 2 twin beds which can be converted to king. Living area has a pull out couch. Washer/ dryer and fully equipped kitchen. Back balcony opens up from living room where you can enjoy the tropical foliage, sunbathe, have your morning coffee. Front balcony opens up from kitchen where you can grill your catch of the day or relax and have a Margarita. There is free internet at condo. Flat screen TV's in livivng and bedrooms. Pool is steps away with free wifi. Beach towels provided. The Conch Retreat is very clean with tropical decor. Come enjoy what all Key West has to offer.

Conch Retreat was a great place for our 6th trip to Key West. Location is superb for Old Town and walking was very convenient. Bed were comfortable and 2 porches were nice. Thanks, Jean, for helping my family enjoy our much needed time away from the Minnesota winter. We thoroughly enjoyed your emaculate condo and its proximity to all things fun in Key West. We used the bikes to go to the beach, walked Duval to Mallory Square and the Sunset celebration, Blue Heaven for breakfast and later for key lime pie. The Green Parrot was very close for late night activities. We also would highly recommend Havana 1 for Cuban food. It is located at mile marker one on Truman Street or Highway 1. My son and daughter-in-law enjoyed the Danger Charter which included kayaking, sailing and snorkeling. I would definitely recommend Key West and your condo to friends and family. The Conch Retreat made our stay in paradise complete. The condo is immaculate and simply, but nicely appointed. We brought nothing for daily living and found everything we needed there. Even the bathroom towels are good hotel quality. The location could not be more convenient. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The two decks/porches are at either end of the apartment, so the first thing we did upon arrival was turn off the A/C and open all the doors to outside. Although the temperature stayed in the 80's for most of our trip we were completely comfortable with a light breeze flowing through the rooms. The location is terrific. You don't need to rent a car. Ride the bikes everywhere or walk. Home is lovely. Clean, well-kept. Beach towels and bike helmets much appreciated. Owner very responsive to questions. Went to Fausto's for groceries. Loved Ft. Zachary beach, the nature center on the way to Ft. Z. Also enjoyed the Hemingway House and Turtle Kraal happy hour. Shrimp at Turtle Kraal great! This was the best vacation we've ever had. The Conch Retreat is a delight when visiting the Conch Republic!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My son and I are in the middle of a weeklong vacation to Conch Retreat. What a great place! I love the proximity to Old Town and Fort Zachary Beach. Within minutes, you're right in the heart of the city, but far enough away at night that you're not bothered with the noise. The condo is very clean and perfect for two people. Love the island touches throughout the unit. I particularly liked that Jean and Lowell provided two bicycles with baskets. What made me write this review now rather than when we get back is while bicycling to Old Town Bakery to get us lunch a few minutes ago, I also wanted to get a cup of coffee but didn't know how to get that back to unit without spilling it all over the place. Then I looked down at the handle bars -- cupholder! Jean and Lowell think of everything. I am already recommending this place to my family and friends if they come down to Key West. I would definitely return here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our family of four had a great time at the Conch Retreat. It is so close to everything we wanted to see in Key West, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The property itself was beautiful and well maintained. We didn't have any need to contact the owner during our stay, but dealing with Jean to book our reservation was a pleasant experience. Did I mention the great LOCATION? The Conch Retreat is comfortable and clean and a great location, very close to the Duval Street scene, just two blocks from Duval and about the same to the Fort Zachary Park beach. Key West is not known for its great beaches but that is a closely gaurded secret, so don't tell anyone. The pool is great and just a few steps from the front door, you'll meet interesting people from all over the country and the world there. The grounds are meticulously cared for; sitting on the back deck is like visiting a jungle. Try it - you'll love it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at the Conch Retreat in August 2012. The condo was exactly as described. It was very clean, spacious, warm and inviting. The kitchen was fully equipped and we did cook a number of meals in the condo, really convenient to the grocery store. The location was great! A 20 minute walk to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and 5 minutes to the downtown strip on Duval St. The condo pool was warm and there was plenty of lounge chairs. The only glitch we encountered was a spotty internet connection. Will absolutely be back to Key West and would rent this condo again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Day 2 of our week at the Conch Retreat and love it here. We have been to Key West several times and have always stayed in hotels. This is by far the best way to go and Conch Retreat is so close to downtown and all of the activities we enjoy. We highly recommend it!
