Renovated in 2011, this upscale 3 bedroom/2 bath condo with breathtaking views of the marsh is a great place to spend your vacation. Watch the sun rise while you enjoy your first cup of coffee sitting in the screened porch or from the comfortable furniture of the cathedral ceilinged great room. The open floor plan makes it easy to be a part of the fun even while preparing a meal in our fully equipped kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms are tastefully decorated with personal touches. After all, it is our home too!
The condo has cable TV, a combination DVD/VCR player with a selection of new and classic movies, a CD player and CD's, several games and jigsaw puzzles for your enjoyment. For the convenience of our guests, we offer free Wi-Fi for your computer needs.
The Master bedroom with its queen size bed is decorated in the colors of the ocean and has a private bath and deck. The middle bedroom is furnished in the cottage style with 2 twin beds and shares the hall bath with our third bedroom. The third bedroom, also has a queen size bed.
If you are looking for a beach atmosphere without the crowds, Bald Head island is for you! Located off the coast of Southport, NC at the mouth of the Cape Fear River and reachable by passenger ferry or private boat, Bald Head Island is a unique combination of resort comfort and physical beauty. It is truly a nature lover's paradise. Birds include Osprey, Ibis, Egrets and Painted Buntings. You'll also see dolphin,red tail fox and deer while biking, hiking or riding around the island in your own golf cart.
While visiting us, enjoy our private community saline swimming pool with bathhouse and lounge chairs or stroll along the boardwalk to view the sunrise and abundant wildlife.
Membership to the Bald Head Island Club is included in your membership. The club offers croquet, tennis, swimming, dining and organized activities for kids of all ages during the summer and holidays.
Visit Old Baldy Lighthouse and Museum where you can learn about the history of the island and its first inhabitants. Climb to the top of the lighthouse for the breathtaking view of the island! Enjoy the 14 miles of beaches and the hiking trails in the Maritime Forest. Bikes and kayaks are available for rent on the island. There is a well stocked grocery store and deli as well as several shops and restaurants. Everything is close by-just 5 minutes by golf cart to the beach, the marina and market. And there's always the option to walk or bike to most places on the island.
The Bald Head Island Conservancy is located at the other end of the island from the Marina. The Conservancy offers many activities during the year to members and non-members. The most popular, watching turtles hatch, has a limited availability so be sure to make reservations early.

This is our third time staying at Barb's and Bo's Timbercreek condo and it only gets better, especially with the recent renovations. The view from the screened in porch is beautiful, ever-changing and very restful. Having rented other places through VRBO, we have found this condo to be one of the best in terms of being well stocked, comfortable and affordable. The care and attention that Barb gives to her guests is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Even though there was not much sunshine, we still enjoyed the island. The condo has a gorgeous view of the marsh with a wonderful screened-in balcony. Very quiet and restful. Having access to the complex pool and BHI club pool was great. The condo was beautiful, superbly stocked, clean, and comfortable. It had everything one would need for a family vacation or even couples just getting away. Barb was great to work with. I would definitely recommend this property without reservation.

This was one of our best vacations! The condo has recently been remodeled and is truly wonderful. We LOVED sitting on the screened in balcony enjoying the sites and sounds of the marsh. We had such a great time at the East Beach every day. The Cape Fear Point was awesome to watch the waves roll in all directions. We found beautiful shells. We truly enjoyed the Conservacy, the beach and hiking the forest...Thank you Barb for the bug spray in the golf cart :)) Their home is so well stocked it felt like my own. You thought of everything that would be needed. We met wonderful people (just loved Norm and his wife) The market had a great selection of fresh seafood and steaks as well as a super wine selection :)) I could go on and on. Thank you again Barb and Bo for opening your home to us.

This was our fourth time to Bald Head and our first on the marshes. Given how well things went, we have already booked next year. Why did we do this? - Well appointed condo, with no comforts of home lacking (i.e. great kitchen supplies, comfy beds, etc...); - Tranquil setting on the marshes and a beautiful deck to enjoy the view; - Close to everything and far enough away to have the privacy we wanted; - Nice neighbours; and - Bald Head is the perfect place to escape the rat race and to truly unwind. This was our favourite trip to the island and it was all possible because we had no issues with where we were staying! Thank you Barb and Bo for opening up your home to some weary travellers from north of the border, Richard

We loved our time on Bald Head Island staying in the TimberCreek condo. The location was serene - looking over the marsh, listening to the birds chirping, and watching the tide go in and out. Our days developed into a predictable routine, jogging around the island or swimming at the Bald Head Island Club pool in the morning. Coming home to make breakfast and coffee and sitting on the deck. Around lunch time we would select a beach to go to and load up the provided golf cart and beach it for the afternoon (5 min drive). The point of Cape Fear provides much fun and adventure! After beach time we would stop by the local market and determine what fresh seafood we wanted that evening. Also a great wine and beer selection. The condo had all the cooking implements you could desire and is well stocked with the basics. Evening consisted of card games and perhaps watching a movie from the great selection at the condo. The condo was clean and well appointed. We highly recommend it!! Many fun things to do on Bald Head - kayaking, visiting Old Baldy, visiting the Turtle Conservancy, participating in a plethora of ecological opportunities, dining and RELAXING.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The owners' description on the website is absolutely accurate, and we had everything we could have wanted. The marsh view from the porch is enough by itself to make you want to go back, but the location and tasteful decorations combine to make this a super find. The owner was also delightful to work with. Thanks to them for sharing their lovely home!

Wow, we couldn't have asked for more! Your website is so true to what your accomodations are. There's so much to see on the island you need more than a week! We so enjoyed that porch! Plenty of kayaking made for lots of fun, too - glad we took them, even though you can rent them. If we'd had more time we probably would have done more beach days and bike riding! We found the restaurants to be delicious, fun and quick. We've already discussed our return for either this fall or next spring if it's available!
