This magnificent house was totally renovated recently by an American family who were living in St Saturnin for several years and so it is more of a home than most rental properties. It is thoroughly modernized and yet retains all the character and charms of the original house, with its vast wood-burning fireplace in the centre of the living room and its amazing views.
There are two living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs living area is perfect for breakfast and long evenings by the fire, while the downstairs 'salon' has all mod cons for the busy family...48" plasma TV, multi-region DVD player, x-box and Playstation. There is also a considerable library of movies and video games and board games to suit all ages and tastes.
There are spectacular views from this house, and nothing could be nicer than having a leisurely lunch on the huge elevated terrace overlooking the pool with the views of the Luberon valley below. The outside dining table seats 10-12 quite comfortably and there is additional dining space pool-side. The pool is new and is approx 36 ft long by 16 ft wide. There is a cabana area by the pool made from beautiful reclaimed stone and timber, providing excellent shade during the day, and is a refreshing place for cool drinks.
There are two master bedrooms, both with American King Size beds - One upstairs and one downstairs. Both having new bathrooms en suite. There are also two other bedrooms, one en suite and one sharing a bathroom. One of these bedrooms has a queen size bed and the other has large bunk beds. The kitchen has all mod cons, with a new refrigerator and cooker and a large Belfast sink. There are ample supplies of cookware, cutlery, dishes etc so you wont run out of glasses quickly.
Outside you will find abundant olive trees and fresh lavender surrounding the pool area and there is ample parking for several cars behind the private electric gates. The village is approx 200 yds away and provides a lovely walk in the morning to collect some fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery.
The village itself is absolutely beautiful and has every amenity that one needs to provide fresh food daily, along with several local restaurants and bars. There are also several Michelin-star rated restaurants in close proximity to the village for those who seek serious stimulation of the palette. Avignon, with its famous walled city and Palais des Papes (pope's palace) is about 40 mins away by car. Marseilles, Aix and Cassis are all within an hour and a half's drive.
