Available April through October, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath single family house can sleep up to 4 people. It has one queen bed, one full bed and a queen sleeper sofa. The newly-remodeled kitchen is equipped with cookware, utensils, plates, stemware, microwave, blender, washer/ dryer, and an outdoor patio with a charcoal grill and a new outside shower.
Rates are $800 for a week with partial weeks available with a 4-night minimum. The cleaning fee is included. Linens and towels can be provided for an additional $25.
There is an additional 10% local/state rental tax.

My husband and I and my 2 1/2 year old son rented this home for a week... our first time to Cape Charles. It was perfect. We have rented by owners before and had some bad experiences but this home was great! Perfectly clean, updated, great neighborhood and only 1 1/2 blocks to beach. Friendly neighbors. If I had to pick a beach cottage to own this would be it. I hate to brag this house up too much because everyone will want it but we will be sure to get our weeks locked up early for next year. You won't be disappointed if you rent this home!!! If you have never been to Cape Charles, I read some where that is was described as "Mayberry at the beach"... that description couldn't be more accurate. Great family town. Everybody is friendly and helpful, my son even made a ton of friends here, plus he had never seen an ice cream truck... he now thinks every van coming up the road is here to bring him ice cream. We had a blast!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

We rented this house for a long weekend and the accomodations were excellent. The house was spotless, had all the amenities that we needed and was very cozy. It was a block from the beach and also very close to town. The neighborhood was quiet and the entire stay was very relaxing. Any call or email to the owner was quickly answered. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants a restful stay in a very comfortable house.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family stayed here for almost a week in August - it was great! We are a family of 4 (we are late 30s, kids are 11 & 13) and we were looking for a quiet vacation by the beach - and we got it! The beach was literally a short block away. The house was clean, well-maintained, comfortable beds, and the kitchen had all the utensils and dishes we needed. The owner was very helpful answering our questions and easily accessible. The description of the property was totally accurate, and the price was just right. We would totally recommend this property to friends and family!
