  The description was more than described and picture perfection! You can hear the waves and see them crash ashore. This condo is very safe and warm and inviting. The boogie boards, fins, snorkels were a lifesaver and made my entire family happy! A few minute walk across the Papakea entrance is the best fish burritos at the Fish Market! I am told that the snorkeling is better at the first beach entrance south of the unit (drive to fist beach exit) than if you go further down past Black Rock. So the location could not be better. The 45 min drive from the airport, so worth it! If we return to Maui we would hope this Gem is available for us! Enjoy.

  This was our third trip to Maui. We wanted to take our adult children and grandsons (3 and 1 yrs) to see Hawaii and searched for a room within our budget. My wife has a knack for finding an amazing place in the perfect location. We found out what made her jump at this one as soon as we got there. The balcony overlooks the pool and has an incredible view of the ocean thru the palm trees-close enough to hear the waves. There's the twelve hole putting green- my son and I spent several mornings and evenings on the green. The grounds were always clean and well kept. This condo was updated and stocked with so many toys, we were amazed at the generosity of the owners. I have never been to a condo that shared so much with their guests. We worked with one of the most amazing hosts getting ready for the trip and everything Sherry said was true. My many conversations with her reassured me that everything would be perfect and it was. Each time I called, she answered all of my questions with a smile. We left the room everyday looking for a perfect beach- from Wailea to mile marker 14 to Black Rock to Kapalua- we swam with turtles, dolphins and eels. And we went shopping, 5 mins to a grocery store with everything, not to mention Subway and Paradise Pizza just outside of the parking lot. We have stayed in many condos from Aruba to St Thomas to Maui- this is definately one of the finest we have stayed in, and the hospitality of the owners is the greatest I have ever experienced. Thnaks for a wonderful stay.

  We stayed in this lovely, upgraded, second floor, 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with a great view of the ocean. The place was clean, beds were very comfortable, beautiful pool with ample lounge chairs for sun bathing, nice putting greens, well manicured plants, super nice people living and/or vacationing here, abundance of beach gear to enjoy (boogie boards were awesome) and a great breeze through the condo when Lani door in open and second bedroom windows are open. We used the grills by the pool every night for dinner for some amazing dinners. There is a Farmer’s Market just a block away every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with fresh fruits, breads, chips, salsa and snacks. There is also a fresh fish store and grocery store even closer….you can walk to all these places in minutes. The property manager, Rick, checked to make sure we had arrived safely and that the condo was meeting our needs….great attention to detail for sure!!! This is a super place for couples and/or families. Everyone had a great time during the day. By 10pm, the place was VERY quiet for everyone. Everything that was listed in the discription of the condo was accurate plus more. Ocean activities and tours were but 5 minutes away without having to fight traffic. We HIGHLY recommend this little slice of Maui heaven for anyone….you will not be disappointed!!!

  Pride of ownership is evident in this well-maintained unit. It was as depicted on the website. We are grateful to have had the use of this condo so that the family could be together during the holidays for the first time in over twenty years. Many thanks for helping us make some wonderful memories. We would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family and would rent here again ourselves. Mahalo

  We had a wonderful time. Papakea is a wonderful resort and our condo was just as it is pictured BEAUTIFUL!!! Every body was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back in the future. Thanks again for the wonderful accomodations, and we hope to be back again next March.

  We booked this unit last minute but have stayed in Papakea before and knew that the location is prefect for our family with lots of activities from the pool to the beach. This unit was great for our family of four. It was well maintained and very clean. It is great having the washer and dryer in the unit as you do not need to pack much. The unit was well stocked with towels, paper products and kitchen cookware for eating in. The view is great and you can hear the ocean from the master bedroom. If you are planning a trip to Maui I recommend using Pacific Whale Foundation for the snorkel trips they are particularly good for kids. A couple of our favorite restaurants include Aloha Mixed Plate for local food and the Mai Tai's at Kimo's or Hula Grill. Also for kid's check out the activities at Whaler's Village since they are free and they can get a little Hawaiian culture.
