Including 11 miles of sandy beaches, Holden Beach is a true island connected to the mainland by a causeway across the Inter-coastal Waterway.
The ICW’s ocean access allows for both boating and fishing, and the area’s 35 golf courses provide endless golfing opportunities. A short drive will bring you to the Myrtle Beach outlet stores as well as historic Wilmington.
East of Eden boasts stunning views from both its glass front vaulted great room and decks facing the Atlantic and the Inter-coastal Waterway. Its private walk to the beach includes a dune deck for sand-less sunning, and a public beach walk one house over allows stair-free beach access.
This is a wonderful place for your next family reunion, office gathering or spiritual retreat. A truly peaceful family beach - there is no overcrowding or over development. This is a retreat for mind and body with an opportunity to observe nature.
Holden Beach is a registered Sea Turtle nesting ground, and the Monarch Butterflies also migrate through on their way to South America. Tidal pools and sandbars often have live conch shells and starfish (we ask that you leave these living specimens in the water), and it is possible to find whole sand dollars as well.
If you love kites, you will enjoy that the expansive beach is frequently graced with stunt kite flyers. Come make new memories at our beautiful beach!
Weekly rental is Saturday to Saturday. Weekly rates include cleaning fee. Nightly rates (available through 4/10/10) are subject to a $110 cleaning fee. Some 4-day weekends may be available out of high season based on rental schedule. Please contact us with any such requests and we will check availability.

What a great weekend we had with family coming together to celebrate a 50th birthday and the New Year! The weather was perfect for us and East of Eden was a wonderful place for us to gather. The large eating and seating area, the well-stocked kitchen, the covered area underneath the house, and the beautiful view made it just perfect for us!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

We live in North Carolina and our extended family from Texas came to visit. We decided to take them to the beach for a few days. It was a challenge to find a place that could fit all of us and still have room to run around! We had six kids that had to burn off energy so we needed the beach to be super close. We also needed our beach house to be clean, and affordable. East of Eden was all of those things and more! We lacked for NOTHING! It was extremely clean! The beds were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was huge with every kind of cookware you would ever need. There are T.V.'s in every bedroom, extra blankets, along with a washer and dryer. There are rocking chairs on the porch that overlook the dunes and beach. There are outside showers and covered parking as well. I was amazed at how quiet and tranquil the beach was! It was never busy. So if you need a HUGE place to stay at, pick this one! You won't be disappointed!

We stayed at East of Eden for the night with my brother-in-law and his family. It was absolutely beautiful and the beaches are gorgeous. We only stayed for a night, but want to stay for a week next year. This house is very clean, spacious and right on the beach!!

I stayed here for a week with my family. Great accomodations and we were very pleased with everything. The beach is very accessible and it was very relaxing for us. We were able to truly unwind and spend some quality family time together. These are the memories are kids will cherish forever. We have already booked our next trip here!
