Sha Ryan Ka : This beautiful Lake Front home has a 42 x 10 foot patio that looks out on to the most amazing views of the lake and of course the Volcanos Atitlan, Toliman and San Pedro. You can have breakfast out there with it's existing table and chairs or go inside to the living area which was designed by a world class architect.
The upstairs master bedroom and study is combined to make an amazing living area that has 37 feet of windows that look out on Lago De Atitlan, a mere 40 paces to your own private dock from the front door. A spacious 2nd bedroom looks out onto the lush gardens and the Meditation Hut. The gardens have been guided for 18 years in their creation by Shavda, ShaRyanKa's owner.
A Turkish bed takes up a corner of the living room providing a great place for relaxing and it's queen size mattress can sleep two more adult guests if needed (or maybe 4 children turning it's uniqueness into an adventure). A fire in the living room's uniquely shaped hearth will create warm memories for sure.
The full sized kitchen will make even the most fussy chef happy while preparing some of the best vegetables you'll ever taste, having come fresh from the market in Santa Cruz or almost daily markets in surrounding villages. Showering in our indoor/outdoor heated shower will only be topped by a bath in our stone tub which has been photographed for a European architectural magazine.
This is truly a full sized house as opposed to some of the undersized casita's renting as houses.

We spent a wonderful week here in June, 2009. We are just getting around to writing the review as we are recommending Sharyanka to friends of ours. The setting is amazing, with gorgeous lake views and lush gardens. The volcanoes framing the lake are spectacular. We can't wait to return. Thank you Shavda.
