This truly is a home-away-from-home, which has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and equipped by the owners as their second home. It is new to the rental market for 2009, so everything is in excellent order. The style is traditional adobe beautifully integrated with Morrocan decor, which gives the interior a rich ambience. The feel is cosy and comfortable, with warm inviting colours, and furniture you can relax in. The 2-storey unit is self-contained - the end-unit of three adobe homes in a small private community.
If you love to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, food processor & blender, coffee maker & grinder, electric kettle, toaster, as well as a complete set of utensils and chef tools. Basic groceries are kept newly stocked up, and quick meals are ready for your arrival.
The upstairs master suite is unusually spacious, with a 2nd satellite TV and a well-equipped office space with wireless DSL, printer, and office supplies.
The upstairs adobe-walled deck looks over the private gardens and has a gas BBQ grill, dining table, chairs, and umbrella for the summer.
There is a queen size sofa bed in the living room, and the two sofas in the unit are very comfortable to sleep on. Alternatively, we can supply two twin futons on request.
The property is approx. 1650 sq ft.
The condo is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Taos, which has wonderful restaurants, innovative galleries, and antique shops.
Taos Ski Valley is about a 30 minute drive, with Angel Fire and Sipapu Ski resorts about an hour away. Santa Fe is a little over an hour's drive.
During the summer, the Rio Grande offers rafting and kayaking for all levels, and walkers can enjoy anything from a stroll around the pretty local neighborhoods, to day-long mountain hiking.

Why the Owner Chose Taos
This has been our second home since we bought it; we love staying here! It's the perfect location for us: we can stroll into town to look around the galleries, and walk home after a wonderful dinner at one of the local restaurants. It's a great base for exploring northern New Mexico, with so many historical and cultural sites an easy drive away. Santa Fe is just an hour's drive, so you can take advantage of Taos lodging rates while exploring Santa Fe.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our condo is located in one of the most sought-after associations in Taos, and on one of the prettiest streets. The quiet gardens with the koi pond are perfect for sitting peacefully with a book, and maybe a glass of wine.
Inside the unit, there are two separate sitting areas, great for families or groups who would like a little private space to themselves. The upstairs office space is a quiet place to check in to work (if you must!)
The centre of Taos, the historic plaza contains buildings housing art, crafts, cafes and restaurants, and more. the streets just off the plaza are crammed with fascinating places to explore.
The oldest continuously occupied pueblo in north America, the Pueblo is the setting for Native American ceremonies and festivals that are open to visitors. The Pueblo buildings themselves are iconic
The beautiful resort and day spa is worth a visit to see its eco- and green technologies, which include a tropical greenhouse that doubles as a water processing facility. The bar is a must-see, and t
On Saturdays from spring through the fall, the local Farmers' market offers a wide range of locally grown and produced items. Honey, flowers, produce, eggs (get there early!), and more.
Kit Carson Park is the venue for year-round events like the Solar Festival, live music concerts by top artists, art shows, etc.
Kit Carson is lined with galleries, restaurants and cafes. Also, visit the interesting Kit Carson Museum - al a short stroll from the condo.
Owner's Map of Taos
We love Taos, and have finally managed to semi-retire here. We originally come from the south of England, and particularly enjoy the gardens in and around Taos, which remind us of home.
There is so much to do here, that we still have a list of 'must-sees' that's several pages long!
We love to entertain, and we make sure that guests have everything they need (plus a few little luxury extras!)
