The Monarch Four Seasons Chalet is the get-away for a family of 5 from Texas! We love the historic mining town of Garfield, CO (also known as Monarch) and we love the year around activities of the San Isabel National Forest that surrounds it. Monarch Mountain Ski Area is only 3 miles away but in addition to skiing, the winter offers snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Summers are filled with mountain biking the Monarch Crest Trail (rated one of the top ten mountain bike trails in the nation), hiking to pristine mountain lakes right from our front door, whitewater rafting in the Arkansas River, panning for gold or rock-hounding at nearby sites.
