This lovely old farmhouse exudes with historic character, charm, and comfort.
It is one of the oldest houses in town, fully restored. It sits overlooking the ocean with a big field and a stately old barn. There are two sliding glass doors from the family room opening to a brand new deck where one can enjoy the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, the passing lobster boats, the delightful parade of eagles and gulls and seals, and the fragrant smell of sea and pine. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen and satellite TV.
A beautiful beach rock fireplace sets a comfy mood in the family room and there is yet another fireplace in the sun porch. Upstairs four bedrooms with fresh linens and quilts invite peaceful sleep. There are books, games and lots of space to roam outside.
Enjoy walks or biking to the lobster pound, public park, or sand beach. Bring your kayak or scuba equipment for water sport. The town is 'down the road apiece' 2 1/2 miles.
Milbridge is a delightful little town along the coast of Maine. It is situated about 55 miles from Bangor Airport, 35 miles from Bar Harbor Airport. The town boasts a brand new supermarket, drug store, sweet shop, library, museum, gift shop, medical center, old fashioned movie theater with real popcorn for $1.00, churches, as well as stately old homes of seafarers and most importantly NO traffic lights! There is a town pier with a boat launch, a park, and blueberries in abundance. Milbridge as well as the neighboring towns enjoy wonderful celebrations and fairs during the summer! The crispy clear days and breathtaking foliage are just delicious during the fall!
