This is a wonderful vacation rental if you love marine life and exploring. Being right on beatiful tied pools and just down the street to have a protected marine park is great. The house is a very cozey home with a great island feel. We had a great vacation in this home and location.

We stayed for 6 nights. The home was had wonderful views.I could not stop looking out the window. My kids loved to walk out the back and explore the tide pools. We snorkled every day in the tidepools and also went in the public hot spring pool down the street several times. It was amazing to see the tide rise and fall every day. This house is one of the best places in vacation land in my opinion because of the privacy, the view and the amazing tide pools right out the back. The out door shower was also great, we rarely used the inside shower. I will be back. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with my family.

Pros: It IS more private as not on the reserve and it is right on tidepools (rather than across the street, definately want to stay on the beach side of these properties) pleasant, but older, darker house great Internet connection pictures on VRBO are accurate Cons: linens and pillows are old/faded/bleach stained (a rather easy upgrade to do) but beds were decent enough The pools in park down the street are deeper, more fun to swim in, better fish to see
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We are a family of 5: 2 from Minnesota, 2 from Washington, and 1 from Colorado. Our son and his fiance spontaneously decided to get married while in Hawaii. While I'm sure they hadn't planned to honeymoon with their extended family, it worked out fine. The house was very private and is laid out in such a way that they had their own space. Having the tide pools right out the back door was amazing. We swam in the pools almost every day - and even if it rained on us, we swam - it was just that perfect. The house was just as promised: well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and seating, extras like swim shoes, boogie boards, coolers, fins and masks. It was very clean and in good repair. Access to the large washer and dryer was a plus. The lower level entertainment area was very nice and the lanai overlooking the pools was great for relaxing. We did use the outdoor shower and toilet - convenient and private. My mother had a great time floating and exploring the pools - we were all amazed by the variety and number of fish that we saw. Thank you again for making this piece of heaven on earth available to us, we'd like to come back soon.

"The house is BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't have imagined anything as nice as this...perfect place for two newlyweds to take some time together in this spectacular setting. My mother is still sleeping - it is the best night's sleep she's had in weeks...We found everything to be in great working order, all clean and waiting for us. It was just as if you knew what we needed...The waves and sunshine woke us up...Thank you again for your exceptional hospitality."

"Wow, what a fantastic vacation. This house is awesome with great access to snorkelling. The lagoon was fun to play around in and the snorkelling here is fantastic! The corals in the tide pools are amazing. The sheltered water sure makes for great marine habitat. We even saw an endangered Hawaiian monk seal (pregnant) that has been hanging around the pools lately."

"Vacationing here has been a real treat for our family - ages 7 to 75. There is something for everyone to enjoy. In this crowded world we never thought we would find a place where you can sit on the lanai and not see another house. We all hope we can stay here again. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower too."
