Location: Colonia San Antonio, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Central Mexico, Mexico (Sma is an Hour and a Half from the Airport in Leon, Mexico.)

Accommodations:  Single Family Home, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 5-6)

Charming colorful and cheerful Mexican home, we call it "The Flower Pot", located in the local neighborhood of San Antonio. Walking distance to art schools, cooking schools, charming restaurants and shops, and the famous El Jardin, located in the Centro.

This is a comfortable and colorful home, which is like a work of art located in a safe and local Mexican neighborhood. It charms the senses with authentic Mexican tiles in all bathrooms and kitchen and beautiful hand painted furniture. On the first floor is a living room with a local cantera stone fireplace (gas) for those chilly evenings and mornings, and lovely indoor/outdoor courtyard with fountain and plants. The kitchen is large with plenty of cooking space and a large table for dining.

Second floor has spacious guest bedroom and huge master bedroom, both with beautiful baths, and third floor is fabulous rooftop terazza, partially covered for indoor outdoor living, huge grill, small kitchen and full bath, cantera stone fireplace, and the most amazing view of the town's famous Cathedral on one side, and the mountains on the other. It is the perfect place for quiet reading, cocktails and dinner with friends, or a major fiesta!! Wonderful sunrises and sunsets!! Maid service included. You will never want to leave!!!!

  • My wife and our son had a wonderful stay at Minerva's beautiful home. It is as it is described in her ad. It is also safe, and a lovely walk to the centro part of town. We also liked that it was a combination of Gringos and Mexicans and found the Mexican neighbors to be friendly, colorful, and polite. Her upstairs terrace is one step closer to heaven with an incredible view. Her house has everything you need for your comfort and pleasure. We found her house manager, Erika, extremely efficient, dynamic, and helpful making for a highly enjoyable stay. Minerva the owner is a person that once you have met her you feel you have a friend for life.

  • My husband, son and I stayed at the "Flower Pot" for a week in July! It was a wonderful experience! Every need we had was taken care of right away either by the owner or the managers. It is a safe neighborhood (we walked a lot at night and never had a problem)about 15 minutes from Centro. There is a fruit and veggie stand next door and a food stand (tacos, burgers, etc..) right in front of the house. Be sure to explore the neighborhood as there are many places to eat and there is also a beautiful church and park not far. Thank you Minerva for sharing your beautiful casa with us.

  • My husband and I stayed in the Flower Pot for 5 days this month with another couple. It was a truly enjoyable experience. The house is filled with Mexican charm in every corner - the colors are fantastic. We really enjoyed all the cooking equipment - everything you need to make your own gourmet meal! The neighborhood is wonderful - San Antonio is a real mix of gringo and Mexican families. There is a wonderful small market next door and a great butcher around the corner. The owner is terrific to work with and made our stay very comfortable.
