2 to 4 bedroom cottages at Deepwood Lodges - Cottages share a large sandy beach, swim raft, picnic area and large BBQ grill. Rowboats, kayaks, sailboat, canoe and paddle boats are all available to guests at no charge; plus there is a basketball hoop, a volleyball net and swings. We can also accommodate some boats up to 21' but space is limited.
We have very limited availability for the prime summer weeks due to so many returning guests - some coming for over 40 years. Additional summer weeks may become available but these cancellations aren't expected until 3/2010 when returning guests must send in their depsosits. We are closed for the winter. No smoking or pets.
For additional activities off the property you can go to Weirs beach for arcades or Laconia or Conway for outlet shopping. Miniature golf is nearby. For the younger kids, the Squam Lake Science center or Storyland is about an hour away. Go to North Conway for rock climbing or go golfing. Take your boat or rent one and stop at the many public boat docks for lunch, ice cream or shopping. Take a tour of the lake on the Mt. Washington. Hike up Rattlesnake Trail for outstanding views of the lake or drive up to Castle in the Clouds. Also nearby are the Polar Caves or zip lining at Tenney Mountain. The steamboat rally in early September is a wonderful event usually with more than 50 steamboats.
