Awesome panoramic views from this spacious, totally outfitted, and comfortable Tahoe Donner House....enjoy the alpenglow on Mt. Rose and Northstar on the large front deck. Hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails are right out the door onto National Forest Service land, as well as some of the best sledding right in your own backyard! With two Master Suites, spacious pool table loft, and Great Room with cathedral ceilings, this home exudes the charm of the mountain lifestyle.
This mountain cabin has so many custom touches, including a hand painted 'one-of-a-kind' mural, hand-hewn/peeled hickory hardwood floors and peeled log railings throughout. There is a gas fireplace in the Great Room and it is surrounded by rock and slate which provides a cozy mountain ambience. There is dining for up to 16 people – 8-10 at dinning table and 6-7 at bar.
There is a large screen TV, 3 additional TV's, DVD, Playstation 2&3 with games, regulation pool table, internet connection, and many other items to make you feel at home. Guests also have access to the Tahoe Donner Rec Center (for a small fee).

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this cabin. Becky was fabulous to work with and made our stay as easy as could be. For our family, having the sledding hill directly outside the cabin made for several fun filled days that the kids will keep in their minds and hearts forever. We plan to rent this cabin again and again (until maybe we purchase our own some day of course :). If you have a family with younger kids, this is the place to go. If you just want to get away from it all and stay in Truckee.. this is the place to go :) WE LOVED IT!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just returned from our second weekend staying at this home. We traveled with two other families, and we had 7 kids between us. Vacationing in this stunning home let the adults really feel like we were on vacation, but it has all of the accommodations you need to travel with active kids. Amazing sledding hill in the back of the home (and a smaller one on the side of the home) were the highlights for the kids. Huge kitchen and dining area for social cooking and dining was the highlight for the adults. Would highly recommend this home. Owner very easy to work with and quite responsive. We hope we will be able to vacation here for years to come.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Forget Black Friday, hello mountain cabin! Our family and friends decided to go to Tahoe Donner to spend some nice R&R together during the long holiday weekend. And we're so happy with the cabin we picked. It's very inviting, comfortable, meticulously furnished, and had everything we needed. The kids had fun with the pool table and grownups enjoyed the big screen for comedy night. Although the weekend didn't give us enough snow, the kids were able to pick up a few snowballs for playing. It was gorgeous weather, even perfect for nighttime grilling on the spacious patio. I have a few reservations in giving a perfect rating, but the reasons are minor; overall I would highly recommend this cabin. Becky has been very responsive to all my inquiries and has been a gracious host. You will litterally be in awe when you arrive at this amazing home. The views are amazing, and that's just from the driveway! Once you are inside, the home is so inviting. So much attention was given to detail, you know the owners really care about their guests. The house is spacious enough for everyone,but you never feel too far away. There is a beautiful mural painted on the wall in the living room that sets a nice tone for the house. There is a pool table upstairs that overlooks the kitchen and living room. The town of Truckee is a 10 minute drive and offers alot of places to eat and shop. My friends and I had such a good time, we didn't turn the tv on once! Every room in the house has a beautiful view that you will love waking up to each morning. I did not want to leave, but I will absolutely be back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

We had so much fun at this beautiful, comfortable house! Becky was a gracious host. There is a big hill behind the house that was perfect for the kids to sled on all day and build snow forts. The views from the house were great. The Kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with nice comforters and linens. The pool table was fun too. The house is located very close to Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort. Also, we went snow shoeing right out through the back yard to some trails. Perfect!
