We rented this house as family lodging for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding at a local winery in August 2011, and we had the best time! The house sits perched on top of a hill overlooking beautiful meadows, and talk about peace and quiet! My daughter has already suggested we have a girl's weekend here one weekend. Thank you for offering such a wonderful home for us. It was clean, cool, and easy to find.

We certainly enjoyed our weekend getaway to Wildwood. We were visiting to attend our nephew's wedding and all was perfect. Plenty of space and lots of sleeping accomodations to make everyone comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and there was lots of great gathering space. The owners provided us with directions to our destinations to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the home.

We brought our little family and several couples up to Wildwood for a little weekend getaway in the mountains - we will be back for sure! The place was perfect for us. It was clean and had everything we were looking for, including enough beds for several couples, a great kitchen, expansive outside areas, pool table, and hiking trails to a wild river out the back door. Thanks!!

I cannot say enough about our stay at Wildwood. Our Son was married at Wolf Mountain Winery in Dahlonega October 29th. We rented the home October 27th-October 31. Our family came in from various parts of the country and we were intent on finding a place where everyone would feel comfortable and where we could all be together. Wildwood exceeded our expectations! The home is beautiful yet comfortable. Everyone had privacy when needed and plenty of "gathering space" when desired. The home is well equiped and fabulous! Todd, the caretaker, is a treasure, making sure we had everything we needed. Wildwood will be our destination for future events in Dahlonega...it was and is truly perfect. (pics do not do the property justice)

We found the property, care taker and experience very delightful. The house is spacious, set on a wonderful lot with many acres to roam enjoying the local wildlife and mountains. The many walking trails are well kept and enjoyable especially with the changing of colors during out late October visit. The location was great for visiting the local winery’s and festivals. I recommend this property for your North Georgia vacations.

This home was exactly what our family wanted and needed. The real estate rep was extremly polite and helpful...Couldn't have done it with out you Paige!..Thanks! The fact that this is the only home (aside from a care taker home) in this beautiful new subdivision with a one mile paved street just perfect for my morning run. I even saw a flock of wild turkey's one morning. The house had everything we needed and was large enough for all 14 of us!. Well worth the money. Photo's don't do it justice. Much more beautiful than they show. Thanks again Paige you made the experience from really good to great.

What a gem we found in the tiny town of Dahlonega! Our host and contact person were marvelous in every way imaginable! From the time our reservation was confirmed until day of departure all our needs were met in true southern hospitality manner. Our only regret was we didn't stay long enough! We did get to tour the town, pan for gold and explore waterfalls, but there's so much more to this charming area. We had a soggy ride this year, but didn't have to get up with the roosters as we were just a few minutes from the start. We'd love to stay here again! Thank you so much Paige and Todd!

We had a wonderful time at your mountain home! Todd met us in the driveway, and offered to help with anything we needed. Our daughter's graduation was a tear jerker, and a memory never forgotten. The weather was beautiful though hot. I haven't checked your weekly rates, but will online. A great place for all seasons. Tell Push we said thanks (I love that name).

My family rented the beautiful home August 6th-8th. Todd the property keeper (and great guy) met us in the driveway when we arrived, taking us on a tour of the massive home. It was clean and ready for us. We had a great family celebration, and highly recommend this home for family get togethers, graduation celebrations, and peace and quiet. Over 400 acres of privacy. PERFECT!

Paige, Just to let you know I received the voided check for our deposit in the mail yesterday. Thanks. And yes, we had a great time with the family at your house. The house is beautiful & sleeping arrangements were perfect for our children & grandchildren. We enjoyed the creek & driving down the S/D road for wildlife viewing. I couldn't remember any specific directions on cleanup but we did get most of the linens washed before we left. We had some trouble getting the gate to open when we left the property, but finally figured it out as the week went by. It would start to open then close again before we got a car through. It seemed if we stuck to the right side of the road it did better. Also on our last day the AC unit tripped & air wasn't cooling. We phoned Todd & he came over right away & reset it & it was fine afterwards.. Don't know if this has happened to you before, but it was a very hot week. We visited some wineries & downtown, fished on Boggs Creek, & toured the Consolidated Gold Mine, which was very popular with all the children & really the adults too. Thanks for sharing the house with us.

From the first inquiry, it was a joy to work with everyone connected with this property. Paige immediately let me know of its availability. She worked with me concerning the many questions I had to make it possible to bring all three of my grown children, their husbands and wives and two grandbabies. We all had a wonderful time and there was something for all ages. Todd took care of any day-to-day needs we had. I have rented several times from VRBO but I have never been in a property so stocked with amazing towels in Master Bath, paper towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen supplies, games and so many other wonderful extras. I asked about grills and before we got there, Paige had added a brand new gas grill, which we used as we did a lot of cooking the entire week we were there. We loved the home, the property and the beautiful Georgia Mountains. Do not hesitate – you will love everything about this rental. We hope to be back! Thank you for making everything perfect for all of us!

Our group of five couples from the Atlanta area rented this house for the weekend while we attended a wedding. Everyone loved the house. Spacious enough for all of us. Close to everything, but still felt like we were away from it all. Todd was there for any questions and Paige was wonderful to work with during the rental process. We are all looking forward to renting it again sometime in the future.

Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful, beautiful home. We were all blown away at the gorgeous home and setting. The pictures on your website do not do it justice. I wanted to stay forever. Without a doubt your place will be #1 on our list and I will gladly recommend it to any and all of my friends. With 10 people and a little baby staying we couldn’t have asked for a more spacious and comfortable accommodations. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We rented this home as my son was getting married in Dahlonega and we had family coming from all over the East Coast to celebrate with us. This home was beyond our expectations. Glenn, Paige and Todd were so accomodating. We can't wait for our next vacation so that we can request the home again. There was plenty of space for everyone and we loved sitting out on the wrap around porch to have our breakfast coffee. The kitchen had every appliance and we loved the decor throughout the home. Again, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Our familty stayed at this beautiful mountain home for several days the week after Christmas. Two of our sons and their families were with us - the third son could not come home because of the Dec. 14 birth of twin daughers! He and his "girls" live in Cumming, Ga. on Lake Lanier. The home in Wildwood was perfect - very spacious and in a gorgeous setting. We were conviently close to Cumming so we could easily visit back and forth. Dahlonega is a quaint little town with lots to do and was so pretty at Christmas! The amenities at the house were perfect - plenty of space for all nine of us to have privacy and good beds. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the wood-burning fireplace. Our host and Ms. Bailey who made the arrangements were most helpful and gracious. Thank you again - same time, same place, next year? Sincerely, Ruth Garrison and family

Twice every year my friends and I pick a special place to get together and relax. We love our “girl” weekends. This particular weekend we decided to travel only about an hour’s drive from the city (Atlanta) and visit the wineries of Dahlonega. Wildwood immediately came to mind. It was the perfect getaway. Nestled between rolling hills; this lovely home that was roomy enough for 14 of us. It was a magical weekend that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The hiking trails along the gorgeous and serene Cavender’s Creek were well kept with newly boarded creekside walkways making it safe and unique. We sat on the deck at night and heard the stillness of the country sounds. We star gazed for hours. It was truly a wonderful experience. The spacious kitchen served us very well as we love to cook and always bring too much food. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The entire experience was luxurious and country. The town of Dahlonega is very special with plenty of things to do, shopping, eating, lounging; historical and entertaining. I think we visited every winery. I would characterize the trip in 3 words: peaceful, quaint and delicious!

Our family of 12 had a wonderful Thanksgiving stay at this great home. It had plenty of beds and space for all to sleep and play. The 6 children loved the big recreation room downstairs while the adults had their own space in the upstairs living room. The kitchen, breakfast nook and dining room provided lots of eating spaces with lovely views. The wrap-around porches on both levels opened the home to more great views. We also enjoyed hiking in the Wildwood and surrounding areas. The home is an easy drive and within a few minutes of the historical and attractive town of Dahlonega for shops and restaurants--especially the Thanksgiving dinner at The Smith House! This is a beautiful, well-kept home and the owner is very helpful and responsive to any requests you may have.
Owner response:The Williams family was only the third "renter" of our family's beautiful mountain home in Dahlonega. John & Rebecca were such a joy to deal with. We hope they come back soon! For any VRBO members reading this & the Williams family wants to negotiate a contract with you for their vacation-TAKE IT!!! They will treat your home as they treat their own. We hope to see them soon.
