This cabin was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. We had all the creature comforts we like with the rustic and private setting that makes us feel "away." Many of us appreciated the WIFI access so we could use laptops and smart phones. Mike made us feel welcome and comfortable and was so accommodating. Thank you! We hope to be back next year.

This cottage is everything you would ask for a week of vacation away from home. Our whole family had planty of room to move about and relax for the entire week. We had 3 boats at the dock and still had room for the kids water trampoline and room for sunning and fishing all at the same time. Huge, Beautiful double dock system with extra sitting area to watch the kids ski and tube. It was wonderful to have attached garage for all our water toys and extra fishing equipment. The two screened in porches were fantastic for relaxing and for our extra coolers and for sitting on mosquito nights. The unscreened in porch looking out to the lake was again fantastic for reading, sunning and visiting. The cottage had plenty of sleeping room for all and very comfortable beds and futons. The fire pit was enjoyed by all and the grills were very handy on the hot nights for keeping the kitchen cool with the A/C on in the house very comfortable. We all caught a lot of fish from bluegill, bass a few walleye, and perch. Shopping in the area was fun and plentyful. If you go don't miss stone Lake- Stop in to Decor and More probably the most friendliest person we have ever met. Also check out the wine Shope in stone lake. Hayward and Spooner had a lot of nice shops and Big Fish was a great golf course in Hayward. Made a short visit to the casino next to the Big Fish golf course very friendly. Also check out the logger shows in Hayward. Huge 5 & dime store in spooner is one you won't want to miss. Rice Lake shopping was more "Big" city not so many cutesy shops but nice town for big store shopping. Also make sure if you see a large gas station stop and fill up not so many gas stations in between little towns. So If you are planning a trip to this cottage we recommend go and don't think twice. Very nice owners and beautiful cottage. Did I mention the 4 acres that you didn't hear another neighbor. You could see their camp fires but not noise. LOVED our vacation everything you need away from home was included. Book now and enjoy your vacation. The pictures that are posted do not give justice the views or the cottage. Beautiful Log Home Cottage! Perfect get a way cottage!!!!!!!

Every summer my wife lines up a cabin for my father-in-law and mother-in-law to fish and relax in the north woods. We have had wonderful experiences enjoying Wisconsin as a family. But this year exceeded them all. The "cabin" we rented was not a cabin. It was an executive type house with all and more of the amenities of home. Our weather was rainy for a part of one or two days and it was no problem. We just built a fire in the fireplace and watched some satellite TV. My son was able to hook up to the wireless internet so there was no whining there. Dishes were put in the dishwasher, and wet clothes were put in the wash machine and dryer. Relax time!!! The views from the cabin were spectacular. The screened in porches were a great place for my mother-in-law to sit and do her knitting at night. One night it was threatening to storm, but it was no problem for the cars. We just pulled them into the two car garage! Our pontoon boat was docked inside the u-shaped dock, so we were not worried about it getting away. Mike and Moni were great to work with. They were so accommodating! They keep the place spotless and clean. Great place! Great value! It felt like home, and I didn't want to leave!

Our Summer 2009 stay at Long Lake at Mike & Moni's was everything a vacation should be. The house is very large and spacious with fantastic views of both the lake and the woods. There is a wonderful flat area on the woods-side big enough for croquet and horse shoes set up, the fire pit is wonderful and the docks are first rate. Our hosts went to great lengths to be sure every poosible kitchen item was provided along with plenty of wood for the gorgeous stone two story fireplace. The deck overlooking the lake is a wonderful spot to sit and watch the kids romp in the lake or to watch the loons and bald eagles fly by. The fishing off the dock was great for the kids. Our five-year old caught more pan fish than we could count and even landed a three pound rock bass on her Barbie pole! There are two screened in porches one upstairs and one down and an inside sitting area on both levels as well. Long Lake is huge and quiet but is very close 15-20 minutes from Hayward which has all the summer fun things young families look for (miniature golf, candy shops, bakery, ice cream, souvenirs and a large variety of good restaurants). There are plenty of stores for supplies there as well including larger supermarkets. There was also a vegetarian speciaty food shop there. Very close to the cabin (a mile or two) there is an Amish specialty shop which has wonderful fresh fruit which changed every couple of days and a mile in the other direction from the cabin is a bait shop. There is also a tiny town about 2-3 miles away with a small grocery store for quick supplies and of course ice cream. We loved it so much we rebooked for 2010 before we left in 2009!!
