The light-filled beautifully decorated home has large open living and dining rooms, each with a wood-burning fireplace. Details include built-in bookcases in living room and library; books and board games for all ages; hardwood floors; large farmhouse dining table (seats 8) and large outdoor wooden table (seats 8), with extra seating available; kitchen fully-equipped with ample serving/cooking utensils; plenty of storage for bikes/fishing gear/golf clubs in garage. Large landscaped yard with attractive, comfortable outdoor furniture and plenty of room for croquet, volleyball, badminton or pick up soccer. All cotton linens and bath and beach towels provided. Badminton/hammock/beach chairs/croquet provided.
Many consider the Truro beaches to be the most beautiful on the outer Cape. They are available to Truro residents/renters. Ballston Beach, with its dramatic dunes, uncrowded sand, and waves that make for great dips in the water and boogie-boarding, is the closest ocean beach--just a 5-minute drive (3 mile bike ride) away. Corn Hill Beach, where the Pilgrims first landed, is the closest bay beach and is reached directly at the end of Castle Road--less than a mile away.
The home has four bedrooms and a library. Master Bedroom One (queen), Master Bedroom Two (full) and Bedroom Three (twin, with charming built in desk/bookcase) are on the main house level. The enormous Bedroom Four (full, 2 twins and additional space in a sleeping loft) is located 6 steps up from the main level. The house has two full baths, plus a large outdoor shower with an attached changing area.
From the property, one can take a short walk to Truro Center for espresso, homemade cinnamon rolls, other groceries and the morning paper at Jams or to purchase lobsters or fresh fish for grilling at Macs Seafood. The area has easy access to great cycling (both on bike trails or back mountain bike roads), hiking and nature trails (helpful guide books for your use are at the house). Excellent farm stands for fresh produce are also close by. The challenging 9-hole, 36-par Highland Links, the Cape's oldest golf course, is also close by, with its dramatic views from cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Much to do close by (museums, art galleries, shopping, dining) in Truro and nearby Provincetown and Wellfleet.
Lounge in the sun-filled, comfy house - or in the Adirondack chairs in the yard - with towering pines, locust trees, forsythia and roses. Enjoy the evening breezes. Stroll down our short private path to the Pamet River side, book in hand, to read in ultimate peace and privacy.

We had a wonderful time at your house on Castle Road. It's a beautiful place, the nicest we've stayed in over the many years we've been coming to Truro, and I'm already in severe withdrawal. The house is wonderfully located, comfortable, and in a beautiful setting.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage on Castle Road in Truro in early July.It was a true gift to be able to step into this home and slow down from my urban ways. The bell tower chimed each hour and I was reminded of my trips to France.I would sit out on the teak table and have my coffee under the locust tree.I could have sat there lost in thought for hours.Truro is very wild and natural. The beaches are not crowded.I took a walk with my Dad to the Snow cemetery up the street. What history there! Our rooms were each decorated with charm and I loved the fresh cotton linens to sink into after a day outdoors. Our stay in this homey cottage was a rejuvenating experience for my entire family.I would recommend this property to all including the fussy traveler. Thank You, Jane in Maplewood,NJ
