This cabin is on what is considered the best frontage on Lake Edward.
Lake Edward is 2032 acres and is known for its sugar sand beaches and clear water. Water clarity varies between 12 and 17 feet. There are no drop offs. Water depth increases very gradually. Very safe swimming for children
The cabin is on the East side of the lake. Beautiful sunsets are the norm. Nisswa, a vacation shopping/activities community is 9 miles West. Turtle races on Thursdays are a favorite activity. If you want to relax or take advantage of the fishing, golf, biking, walking, etc., its all here.
This cabin has been extensively remodeled and provides all the amenities for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. The kitchens is fully equipped including microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. The bath has a shower.
You will need to bring your own, towels and food. Cleaning supplies and paper towels and toilet paper will be provided.
No smoking in the cabin.
We also have a completely remodeled cabin adjoining this one. It is possible to rent both cabins for a family get together.

Why the Owner Chose Brainerd
The Lake is so clean (clearity from 15 to 17 feet) and the swimming and boating is fantastic. The lake is 2032 acres, 2 miles wide(east to west) and 3 miles long (north to south).The deepest spot is 75 feet deep and the over all average deepth is 12 feet. Right now the water level is down like most other lakes in the area, and we have more beech than normal.S
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Many beautiful sunsets and a usual breeze that helps keep the bug away. Great swimming for little kids as there are not drop-offs and a lot of shallow sand bottom water.

Great Beach and Pleasant Cabin

We spent a week at this property in late June. The cabin is well finished and furnished. We enjoyed well equipped kitchen (dishwasher!) and the beautiful dining room table. Unlike other similar properties this one was well lighted. The washer and dryer onsite was nice. We made good use of the gas grill and the nice deck. The property has some great beach that gently slopes out so is safe for small kids. The water was very clear. We enjoyed a campfire on the lakes edge with hot dogs and smores! The breeze off the lake kept the mosquitoes away. I enjoyed kayaking every day in Lake Edward. There was not much boat traffic on the lake while we were there so paddling was a rather relaxed, private affair. We also took advantage of the Paul Bunyan bike trail nearby. The turtle races in Nisswa were entertaining along with a frosty root beer float! Challenges on the property are that there are quite a few stairs needed to get in an out. The cabin sits back from the water's edge a fair bit (can see that in the pictures). We had good cell coverage in the area, that can be good / bad depending on your desire to get away. The weather was great while we were there. I definitely wish I was there now!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
