  The house was perfect. It is well kept and the pool was wonderful. Very short walk to the beach. Can't wait to go back.

  Perfect location, house could not be more comfortable and versatile with the den and pull out couch. Beds, linens, towels, cart for the beach, all we needed were bathing suits. I also enjoyed the old school bikes. We will be back, thanks Paul.

  We loved staying at this house. It was perfect for our family vacation. The location to the beach was perfect and close enough to scoot back and use the bathrooms when needed. The decor was perfect. The kitchen had everything and more. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. The pool was the perfect temp and everything was very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet and we came home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! We want to come back next year. Thanks to Paul and his wife for letting us rent your home.

  I came here with two other couples. I also own a vacation rental so I'm pretty picky when staying in a rental. This rental exceeded my expectations. #1 priority - the house is CLEAN. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked. The decor is modern. A big plus was all of the beach stuff that came with the house - beach chairs, floats, beach towels. Everything is in working order. And less than 2 blocks to the beach. The pool water was warm. Overall, an excellent rental.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway.

  What a wonderful home - we rented vacation houses many times before - but this was not a house it was a home! From the minute we arrived we knew we were "home"! From the sparkling pool, to the BBQ, the bikes, the pool toys ( yeah I know we're adults but hey who says we can't play too?)the superb kitchen facilities...it was easy to see this was a home that real people actually live in and not just vacation in! We loved the balcony every morning with a cup of freshly brewed coffee watching the world go by and getting to know our neighbours too. Mornings on the beach -just 200 steps from pool to waters edge ( I counted them!) it was like having the ocean at the bottom of the yard! Afternoons by the pool - heaven! The massive choice of TV stations especially the sports stations kept hubbie out of the sun ( and trouble! ) - he soon had the easy remote controls sorted! I loved the surround sound music system especially on the deck by the pool. Everything was as described in the listing - even better! We arrived late in the evening and the entry was easy - we were soon settled in and on vacation! The location was perfect - right in the middle of the Island - so easy access to the piers ( and great grouper sandwiches!) at the North end and the buzz of Bradenton Beach at the South end. Not forgetting of course Beach Bistro just 3 doors down - one the finest restaurants I have visited! It was a seamless booking - so easy. I have had more trouble booking cinema tickets!! Paul was a pleasure to deal with - pleasant and very quick to reply to my one query! I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this beautiful home to anyone - but then maybe I'd be giving away one of Florida's best kept secrets - the paradise that is Anna Maria Island! Can't wait to return - thank you so for letting us share your little piece of Paradise!

  We stayed here 10 days in September and it was absolutely wonderful. The house is tastefully decorated and has wonderful amenities. We loved the salt water pool and the proximity to the beach. The house is huge, clean and wonderfully equipped. The large kitchen is also well stocked with all kinds of great utensils. Lot's of Margarita and Martini glasses :) The area is very peaceful, the views are breath taking and the whole rental experience was just a breeze. We truly loved it here and made some wonderful memories.

  My husband, self and two adult children vacationed here one week ago and loved the home and the area! The home is beautiful and has every amenity possible. The kitchen is gorgeous and had every type of utensil and cooking and baking items you would ever want. It is decorated in all high end decor. The master bedroom and bathroom is huge! We loved both of the porches and sat to eat on them as well as the patio off the pool. There is also a smaller porch off of the third level. The third level of the house is private with a nice big den area. The elevator made bringing in luggage and groceries easy. Beach towels are even provided. Lots of sheets and towels as well. Mattresses were very comfy. The pictures do not due the home justice. The beach is much closer than what I thought after I googled mapquest. Just a few short walk. We loved it!

  Title says it all. It was a perfect vacation!!! Travelers included myself, my wife, 9 year old daughter, 6 year old son, and mother-in-law. All the rooms and furnishings were very nice and clean. I think the actual rooms look much better than the pictures. This was definitely a luxurious and very comfortable place. The rolling cart was especially useful (as with some of the other water toys/items). We used that thing every single day carrying our items to the beach. Even the 1st person view on Google maps doesn't do justice to the actual proximity of this house to the beach. it was an extremely short walk. We used the pool at the house and walked to the beach every day. There is wireless internet connectivity, and was pretty good. I tested the speed between 10mbps to 14 mbps, which is pretty good. It was useful to us to look up restaurants, things to see, and my wife uploaded hundreds of pictures every day to share with family and friends. There were only 3 small negatives: 1. The kitchen garbage was not emptied and had old shrimp in it, which caused a terrible smell. We placed that garbage can outside. This was the one and only cleaning issue. 2. The elevator did not function as it was stuck on the 3rd floor and the door would not open. Called down to the office, but nobody came by. I also reminded the office when we checked out. Wasn't a big deal, but would have been nice for loading and unloading our luggage. Also, only the first 2 burners on the stove worked. These were the only 2 non-functioning things we encountered in the house. 3. Swimming pool heater worked great the first day, but then got colder each day after. Called the office, and they had someone at the house in about 2 hours. Not sure if the heater timing was off, but it was never the same as it was the first day. Still fairly nice to get into though. I think the best compliment I can give is to say this was money very well spent. The entire family absolutely loved this vacation and staying at this house, and our entire experiences from booking to checking out was very pleasant. I emailed the owner a couple of times during the process and he was always very responsive and helpful.

  Owner response: Thank you for the nice comments. I feel like you did enjoy your stay. Elevators are a little touchy. If a door is not closed properly, it will shut down the elevator. Usually it is the inside door (the folding door). I checked with my cleaning person and found that to be the case here as well. Don't know why the burner was not working. As for the pool, I don't know why it would not keep up. It is a heat pump and does need time to work which means it will not work well in cold weather and you may need to put on the pool cover if the days are cloudy. If someone messed with the timing, then maybe it is not coming on early enough to heat it up? Again I appreciate the comments and trust you will come again some day. Thank You

  This was a great vacation rental. We have usually stayed at timeshare condos and this was so much more. The beach is great and close. The main road- Gulf Drive- is not as busy here as further south. Which is great as you walk to the beach. It is a perfect spot. We walked on the beach daily, my son rode the bike and pool was very nice and warm. The kitchen was great. It had everything and more that you could want. We also used the grill several times. It has an outside shower( hot water even) that is great after going to the beach. There were plenty of beach toys, chairs and even an umbrella and beach cart for all!! The rooms were good size. the master was huge and the loft was really nice. We have 3 kids so they all had there own area. We would stay here again!! The owners had even left brochures on cafes etc. and had written in comments that helped. We were able to take our dog to a cafe and know ahead of time she was allowed. I was a bit worried about how excited my kids were about the elevator, but it was fine because they all used it once and the novelty was over. They quickly figured out walking up was quicker!! but it was nice on the way up for all our luggage!!. The last day we took out a boat from Seaduced. We took our dog and they had given us a map and suggestions on were to go. It was so fun, found many conch shells and ate at Mar Vista and the dog could go there too. I would do that a couple times next time. There are many other shells on Holmes Beach also. We went to Siesta Key and the sand was softer but not by much. It did not have as many shells. We saw dolphins off the beach. We did not see any manitees but did not go over to the other side. Also I did not see any alligators. My kids and husband went golfing and did not see any there either. I guess they like all the freshwater areas... not the ocean! This house is even better in person and has many thoughtful amenities. Loved having the washer and dryer also. Thanks so much !!

  We have rented on the island for many years and by far this is the most comfortable place we have stayed. We loved everything about the house. While the house was huge the floor plan is open so you never felt confined. We will definitely be back.
