We are located one block from Newport Bay and three blocks from the Corona Del Mar beaches. This property is a restored 1927 "kit home" that you could order from the Sears catalog and construct in a weekend. It has one thousand square feet with a living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. This is our home, with antiques, crystal, art, and oriental carpets, that we share with our new friends. Many artists have lived here, still do, and the ambience reflects that. This is a "landmark" house in the area and well known to locals.
This property, a romantic hideaway for two, yet suitable for a family fun vacation, is also great for gardeners, as the Sherman Gardens and Foundation are two blocks away , as well as athletes with all the sporting possibilities in the area.
Our house has a front yard and a back yard, fully fenced. There is a state-of-the-art children's play ground at an ocean view park one short block away. The rear yard features an out door dining area with a gas barbecue. There is a separate "Studio" apartment with a queen hideabed, a kitchenette and 3/4 bath, available for larger groups for an extra fee.
We are close to Disneyland, Balboa Island, Laguna Beach, and the Balboa Ferry to the fun zone on Balboa Peninsula. Fashion Island, for major shopping, is one half mile away, and of course the beach is within walking distance.
If you wish to dine out, there are numerous restaurants to suit every taste and budget, literally dozens of which are also within easy walking distance. For eating in, the kitchen is updated in the vintage style with all the modern conveniences to assist the gourmet cook in you. Several markets, including Trader Joe's, Albertsons, and Pavilions are close by. The plumbing, electricity and heating are new and updated with unlimited hot water from an on-demand tankless system.
Recreational activities of all kinds abound in the immediate area. We also have a double Kayak, two bicycles, beach chairs, and two tennis rackets available for guest use. What are you waiting for?
