My husband and I love Nantucket. We've been coming for years. You could say we fell in love with each other and Nantucket at the same time. Now, we can finally say we own a home here. It's a dream come true.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Of course we love being at the beach. We have had many a long bike ride, including one year when my husband had to come and pick me up because I was too tired to make it back. We had ridden so far that day, and we were having a blast. But coming back to the inn, we were riding into the wind - fierce wind that afternoon - and I just couldn't make it. We still laugh about that. The other thing we (I) love to do is deep sea fish. Last time we went deep sea fishing, everyone on the boat caught a fish except my husband! We laugh about that, too!

My husband owns a sports marketing company, and I own a music store in Connecticut. My husband has been in sports marketing all of his working life, but I drastically changed careers seven years ago when I bought the store. Prior to the store, I was a journalist in New York City. We both love New York and met on a blind date there. We have two teenagers, two dogs and two cats at home. A home in Nantucket is a dream come true for the whole family!

Great Rental for Large Family Group

We rented this house after checking out many others on the web that looked great but had our son, who lives on the island, check them out and this is the only one that passed his muster. We had 8 adults and one infant and had plenty of room to be together or apart (plenty of separate spaces, e.g. family rooms, patios, decks, living room, etc.). Many of the other rentals claim to sleep 10, but this one really does with 5 real separate bedrooms with multiple sleeping arrangements. The house is like new and so is all of the furniture and has high speed internet and multiple HD TVs, etc. The table in the kithchen sits 10 comfortably and we spent most of our time there -- very nice and well equiped kithchen with super espresso maker! Close to brewery, farm with fresh vegetables and secluded beautiful beaches, etc. (can walk but a car is best for most things). Nice yard on quiet cul-de-sac with great outdoor furniture and shower! We will definitely rent this again in the future!
