A historic home, with beautiful wood work and hardwood floors, paired with a modern kitchen and renovated master bedroom.
Located on the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes, with waterfrontage and sandy beach.
Large acreage with cleared fields, large trees, wooded areas and outbuildings.
Ideal retreat for families or for people looking for peace and quiet on their vacation.
All of the major attractions, including the Cabot Trail and Louisbourg are located within reasonable driving distances. Opportunities for cycling and paddling are plentiful on the island. Restaurants and services are all within a 30 minute drive from the house. There are always opportunities to see and hear Celtic music in the area. A beautiful vacation rental that is perfect for those looking to enjoy Cape Breton Island.
Why the Owner Chose Ross Ferry
The house is central for day trips all over Cape Breton Island. Baddeck, the Gaelic College, Louisbourg, and Ingonish are all short drives from this location. The community itself is very quiet, miles of paved and gravel roads make it a cyclists paradise. The entire Island offers amazing views at every turn. As well, you are never far from the water, the Bras D'Or lakes are literally a stone's throw from the house and the Atlantic Ocean is a short drive away.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You will enjoy a lovely 19th century home that has been restored to reflect the heritage of home with some nice modern touches. The kitchen is a new addition and has new appliances, a large 4 burner stove, dishwasher and skylights which make it bright and great for cooking. The house has a large deck with a screened in porch perfect for watching sunsets.
