Railei Beach has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It has a unique atmosphere and this is helped in that it is only accessible by boat and there are no cars.
The owner of this house has been going to Railei since 1993 and built this house in 2005. It is a much loved home that we enjoy as a family every year. It is called Baan Mairead and is 50 metres from the beach with great views of the sea, the rocks and wonderful star gazing. It has many chill out areas, all offering different vistas and great entertaining spaces.
The house is very luxuriously furnished and has all of the amenities including a chef's kitchen and TV / DVD player. It has a clear view of the sea from the Master Bedroom and main living areas. It also has a separate Guest Wing for a total of 4 Bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms.
The whole house includes the Guest Wing and is ideal for a large family or two families. The layout of the house allows for privacy but has plenty of common space for gatherings.
There is a strict maximum occupancy of eight people per house, and a requested three night minimum stay. During the Peak Season (December and January) we request a 7 night minimum stay.
MAIN HOUSE - sleeps 6
Has a Master Bedroom a large outdoor bathroom and another two separate rooms with a large shared outdoor bathroom. A large living living room, covered and open deck area provide plenty of gathering space in all weather conditions. There is a large chef's kitchen with an additional dining area
Sleeping arrangements: The main wing has 2 king beds and 2 single beds
On the second level the guest wing has a separate entrance, private deck, bedroom, and a large outdoor bathroom. On the ground level there is a living room with TV/DVD, dining area and kitchenette with mini fridge and sink. There are no cooking facilities in this guest wing
Railei Beach Club is a community of privately owned homes which may be rented when the owners are not in residence.
Each house shares traditional Thai design elements but has its own characteristics. Our homes are completely open to the surrounding natural elements, no air-conditioning, and all rooms have fans.

Year Purchased: 1995
This is a great house for a family and I come from a large one. We have four children between us and many nieces and nephews. All of them fall in love with here at different stages of of their lives, as children or as young adults. Railei has a lasting effect on everyone of them.
Why the Owner Chose Krabi
I came to Railei first in 1993 when I was backpacing in south east Asia. I found this beach and came back every year after and eventually was lucky enough to be able to buy my own home here.
I have school going children now so I use the house mostly during the Christmas and Easter Holidays. I have a great bunch of friends here and just love this place being part of our lives. No matter how much I travel, I never found a place that I liked better.
The Unique Benefits of this Beach House
Nature is wonderful here. I love just lying back and watching the monkeys or listening to the cicadas. The beach life is great and I love to swim. We are surrounded by incredible rocks and karsts that never cease to fascinate. This has always been a climbers paradise.
