Newly furnished with beautiful, earthy designs: Saltillo clay floors in an open floor plan with original wood beam ceilings, 1950s-style “Stockholm” armchairs, oak table w/Empire chairs, Empire “boat” queen bed, Provençal chest, original jellyfish prints, ceiling fan, fully-equipped, kitchen w/vintage Hotpoint oven, stone counter tops, renovated bathroom, bamboo blinds, plush new towels and bed linens.

* Coconut Grove, with its luxurious verdant setting, serene bay front and casual laid-back ambiance, has been an artists’ colony since the 1950s and is home to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, now recognized as one of the leading arts festivals in the country. The “Grove” is one of the best areas in Miami for fine dining. Some of Miami’s most fabled mansions are located here, such as Villa Vizcaya, the Barnacle, Madonna’s former mansion, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden and the National Tropical Botanical Garden (the "Kampong").

The cottage is a comfortable and quiet alternative to a hotel room. Convenient to UMiami, Coconut Grove restaurants and shops, Key Biscayne beach, and the great Fresh Market! Bed is very comfy; front porch a great place to sit and read or entertain!

This one room, well-furnished downstairs apartment is located behind a larger home in a park-like setting. All needs were met including the advertised wine and bikes, plus an air bed for my friend. The town and several bay-side parks were easily accessible. Returning to the cottage after a day of biking to the beach felt like entering an oasis of calm. I would recommend it.
