Breathtaking setting. Love, love, love the layout of the 1st floor. If you ever sell contact us. We stayed a week for a family wedding and didn't want to leave. Off the beat and track but short drive to Roche Harbor. Great place to kick back and relax or have the entire clan over, as we did. Will go back at some point! Jane is a pleasure to deal with and an interesting person to boot!

The house was lovely and perfect for our family vacation. So peaceful but close to all the fun at Roche Harbor. Our two year old loved visiting the nearby alpaca farm and watched the deer from your back deck. We really enjoyed our time and hope to see you again next year.

We rented this beautiful house for a family gathering to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Coming from the midwest, spending time on San Juan island was a special treat for them. The afternoon we arrived, we made a quick trip to the West Side Road and got lucky whale watching. For more than an hour a large group of whales passed close to Lime Kiln Park and below us on the rocky land trust overlooks. Roche Harbor is a short drive away and we enjoyed walking the docks, admiring the yachts and having a drink at the Madrona Grill. We also went for long leisurely walks at both English Camp and American Camp. The large and functional kitchen was a pleasure to cook in - we especially loved the huge island work surface and the views from the kitchen and deck. Between the farmers market, local wines, fresh fish and baked goods in Friday Harbor, we ate like kings and queens. The house was warm and quiet. One evening from the deck, we saw a pair of bucks locking antlers in the waning daylight. Views of the evening sky were spectacular.
