Inspired by Nadir Kahlili’s design, these five connected hand-built eco domes are completely solar powered, and absolutely beautiful inside and out.
The ‘Sand Castle’ and grounds are extremely private, no neighbors in view from anywhere on the property. It is completely enclosed by a secure wall and gate while still allowing for a vast 360 degree view, unmatched by any other property in the area.
The interior of the ‘Sand Castle’ features softly curved walls, beautiful high conical ceilings and many artistic built-ins. Each room has porthole windows offering views of the sea and mountains while Mediterranean blue doors open onto a large terrace overlooking the sea. The two bedrooms and their attached bathrooms sit on opposite wings off the main room, offering guests the opportunity for privacy and independence when desired.
The majestic Gray Whale, once featured on the endangered species list, travels the longest migration of any mammal, over 12,000 miles. These whales and others migrate along the entire length of the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula from November through March. The detached, shady palapa offers the perfect look-out for these whales, while the adjoining sand terrace can accommodate tents for camping.
Los Cerritos Beach is a world famous surf spot within walking distance from Castillo de Arena. Located just over the hill, it is also the safest swimming beach in the area. If you’re not a seasoned surfer, the Los Cerritos Beach Club has available for rent a wide variety of kayaks, boogie boards and surfboards that can supply you, your family and friends with long sunny days of beach-side fun. They also have a wonderful local restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also features the best live local music on weekends. Ten minutes north of El Pescadero is the charming village of Todos Santos. Named one of the worlds special ‘Pueblo Magico’s . it is well known as a Cultural & Artistic center. The proximity to the art galleries, wonderful restaurants and various cultural activities, offers our guests a rare chance to experience all this Pueblo Magico has to offer.
Meet local fishermen at Punto Lobos harbor for the fresh catch of the day and along with fresh, local organic produce grill nightly as you watch the spectacular sunsets. Talk late into the night in front of an outdoor fire, or lay back on one of the comfortable upholstered benches along the 'sand castle' walls, counting stars while the waves below lull you to sleep.
