Skopelos, the island of Mamma Mia, known for its lush green forests, countless wide clean beaches, picturesque houses and still surviving traditional ways of life, has been declared a national cultural monument. Located within a protective zone of a large marine park, the seas around Skopelos abound with a variety of sea life, some of it very unique and protected. Nearby islands of Skiathos and Alonissos can easily be reached for short excursions and are also offering a variety of attractions.
Villa Anna is located in the principal settlement, the port of Skopelos. Positioned high above the harbor, it offers panoramic views of the whole settlement, the Skopelos bay with the surrounding mountains, and the neighboring islands in the distance. Much of the Skopelos settlement, as it is located on steep slopes and criss-crossed by narrow streets with stone steps, is accessible only to pedestrians. However, car access to Villa Anna is easy and, in general, all destinations on the island of Skopelos can be reached by rented cars, motorbikes, hired taxes or regular local bus service.
Villa Anna has been fully restored in the traditional Skopelos style. The house is entered through a sunny courtyard with a lemon tree and a view of the bay, gives then access to a large living room with a typical Skopelos fireplace and, up a few stairs, leads to a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, cooker and dishwasher. The ground floor also features a double bedroom with an adjacent bathroom with a small bathtub/shower and a washing machine.
Taking a flight of stairs up, the light upper floor offers further three bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower corner. The large master bedroom opens onto a traditional-type wooden front balcony with a panoramic view of the Skopelos bay and the island. Ample storage space for all personal items is available in all bedrooms.
The house can comfortably accommodate 6 persons, while 2 additional persons can sleep on the living room sofas which have been expressly made with that purpose in mind. A regular cleaning service and general visitor support is provided with the rental of the house. A price schedule, giving daily rental rates depending on the time of the year and the number of visitors, is shown below.
