My wife and I along with four friends stayed at Le Scuderie in October of 2012. Our host, Francesca, went out of her way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. This must be one of Italy's best bargains. I would highly reccomend that everyone purchases the breakfast and dinner program; it is a great buy.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and I stayed at Le Scuderie from Sept 19 to the 24th, 2011. The accommodations were clean, very comfortable and well appointed. We shopped for supplies in the little town of Donoratico and enjoyed a few meals there as well. The restaurant 'Sorsi e Bocconi' is a must stop! We used our lovely villa as a home base for exploring the area and did day trips here and there. Our favourite was Portovenere, part of the Cinque Terre. We would highly recommend this property and thank Kerstin for all her kindness while we were there. We certainly hope to return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just spent a week at Greppi Cupi in this villa. It was clean, and portrayed accurately in the pictures. The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. We loved the peaceful, beautiful surroundings of the vineyard -- great for relaxing together as a family. The nearby villages and beaches are beautiful. Wine tours and tastings were arranged for us by the staff. We had a delicious dinner cooked for us on our first night there. It was the perfect vaction. We loved every minute of our stay! Car is necessary. The villa does have a washing machine, which is not listed in the ammenities.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a group of 8 (4 adults & 4 children) and the villa fit us very comfortably. Francesa and family were very helpful with answering our questions or helping to meet our needs. We choose to eat in a nearby city of Donaratico and she gave wonderful suggestions. Though wireless service is offered, the signal did not reach back to the villa area. We did take our laptop closer to the house and could get a faint signal, but that was not always possible. The highlight for our children was the pool that was private, but was made available to our group. I can't say enough about this place and I highly recommend for a Tuscan getaway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of 5 (three children under 4) stayed at this property in November of 2009. It was out of season and we were the only guests at the time, but I got the feeling that the service is always good. The villa was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We chose to have breakfast and dinner brought to the villa daily and the food and service were amazing. Ms. Rosa would stop by and answer any questions we had, providing us with maps and local information. There is a nice beach just a five minute drive away and the surrounding villages are full of charm. This is not an action packed vacation, but if you want a relaxing time in a beautiful setting you can not beat Greppi Cupi.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

In an 8 day whirl wind tour of Italy, we stayed here for one night - our family of 4 wishes we had just come straight to this villa and never left. We ate grapes grown on our own arbor, the owners shared their wine and delicious home grown foods; 5 minutes from the beautiful Mediterranean beach. The villa and the hosts were tremendous. We were able to walk among the vineyard, swim in the pool or go to the beach, eat under the stars - as luck would have it, there was a meteor shower the night we stayed. So close to the beach, so close to Pisa (the leaning tower pails in comparison to this home). We felt like we were a part of a family - and wish we could have stayed forever! I won't go back for one night - I cannot imagine staying less than a week, or a month!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
