Bear Paws was the perfect cabin for my family of four. The children enjoyed having their own space in the loft. My wife and I enjoyed the comfortable bed in the master bedroom. The deck was nice for grilling out and soaking in the hot tub. The cabin's location is about 2 miles from the pool area in Big Canoe, offering a bit of seclusion, but close enough to enjoy the pretty ride. It is also located very close to parking areas for the upper and lower water falls. The owners take care of every little detail so that you don't have to while on vacation (thanks, John). We would return again!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at Bear Paws! We were greeted with a personalized note along with wine and other snacks for our stay. The owners are well organized and thought of everything! The information binders were helpful along with several other notes throughout the house. The bed was comfy and the whole house was very clean! We loved the hot tub and the view from the back porch. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return!

My husband & I recently stayed at Bear Paws and had a fabulous weekend! The cabin is in a great location, near hiking trails and offers excellent privacy. We loved the bottle of wine upon arrival & the personalized sign welcoming us. The cabin offers comfortable beds, a great hot tub, a warm & cozy environment and everything else you could want! We will be back. Thanks John!

We have been to many cabins in the North GA mountains, and this was, by far, one of our absolute favorites. The property is well maintained, clean, comfortable, and property owner was very easy to work with. We saw six (SIX!) deer in the yard on our first day. We walked to hiking trails which were right outside the door. The owners have thought of everything. The accomodations are exactly as described. We will certainly be back soon, and I highly recommend this cabin.

We went up to Big Canoe for a wedding and stayed at Bear Paws for the weekend. The drive to the cabin is absolutely beautiful and we were so happy when we finally arrived at Bear Paws. It is in a great location and it is absolutely adorable. The owners went above and beyond with the accommodations. The house was cozy, the beds comfortable, plenty of towels, great kitchen appliances, and most of all...an amazing back porch. Unfortunately, we did not get to utilize the back porch enough but it was so nice out there. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone planning on staying in Big Canoe. The owner was such a pleasure to work with. We could not have asked for a better experience.

If you are reading this you have probably settled on a visit to Big Canoe. Good choice! Now, where to stay? We decided to give Bear Paw Cabin a try. That was a good decision that made our experience a luxury event. This cabin is special. Location is wonderful, accommodations are way above average. Towels, linens, appliances, instructions, a long list of comfort features all combine to make you feel like you can begin your relaxation and your adventure the moment you walk in the door. The owners have put in EXTRA effort to make this a special experience for their guests. It is clear they want people to feel the same way about it that they do. We saw deer twice off the back porch. The cabin has excellent access to trail heads where you can get down to the village by just walking through the woods. Water falls, a mountain-dew still, and a primitive cabin along the hike make wonderful surprises. And the parade of 14 turkeys across our path was magical. The beds are especially comforting, a great place to lay your head after whatever your day entailed. There are more extras than we can mention here and it is more fun to just go and discover the nice little surprises that await. You'll see what we mean when we say this place is special. Having stayed here, we are spoiled for any future visits to Big Canoe. We intend to go back and will stay Bear Paw Cabin when we do.

My daughter & I were here in Oct. 2009. We arrived late in the evening and were greated by a brightly lit cabin with music playing and a fire already laid out ready for lighting! We felt we were visiting a friend's home instead of a rental. Very clean & cozy. The owner was great to work with.

Hands down the coziest cabin we've ever stayed in...every detail was thought out, down to the holiday decorations. And seriously, the bed in the master? So comfy you'll never want to get up! Cabin itself is in IMMACULATE condition. A lovely place to stay! We will definitely be back!
