Interior is entirely knotty pine with pine floors and area rugs. Furniture and beds are in excellent condition. Interior has a cozy atmosphere. There are ceiling fans in every room, including the screened in porch.
The lot is landscaped with a perennial garden and shrubbery. There is access to our private waterfront, the shores of the Sheepscot River, for water views.
There is a public boat landing for launching boats, kayaks, etc., about 5 minutes from the cottage. Downtown Boothbay Harbor with shops and restaurants is only 10 minutes from the cottage. There is a nature preserve on Barters Island with hiking trails along the waterfront of the Sheepscot.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is about 5 minutes from the cottage.
There is also a nearby lake with swimming and boating permissible about 5 minutes from the cottage.

We LOVED our 4 weeks in this great cottage. Very comfortable for 4 people and three dogs. They provide everything you could ever want from bed clothes to kitchen utensils - just bring your toothbrush! Location was wonderful - far enough away for peace and quiet and close enough for easy access to Boothbay Harbor. The porch was wonderful for those couple of rainy days and the fire place took the morning chill out of the air. The owners were wonderful - even providing us with an emergency generator when the Hurricane was threatening us. (Didn't need it after all). We definitely want to come back in 2013.
