From dawn to dusk you can enjoy the many activities the resort has to offer or just relax in your oceanfront suite w/private jacuzzi and surround yourself with our sixty acres of tropical elegance.
Your vacation begins the moment you drive through our gatehouse entrance into our beautifully landscaped tropical grounds and enter your spacious two bedroom suite. This unit is 'D-Model', the most requested of the 4 condo layouts because it is the only one with two separate balconies. One in the living room and the other in the master bedroom, each offering spectacular ocean views and each overlooks a Protected Wildlife Refuge Area. Dozens of species of birds and animals can be seen in their native habitat, such as a family of Osprey, their nest is perched directly behind the unit.
The resort has an array of amenities designed for all to enjoy. A
typical day can include a round of tennis followed by a swim in our huge Jr. Olympic size pool with separate whirlpool spa. Or maybe you'd prefer to get some sun and play volley ball on our private Ocean Front Beach. You can also rent a kayak and explore the surrounding keys wildlife. Then again you may just want to have a cocktail or snack at our Oceanfront Cafe & Launge, followed by a relaxing stroll along our Private Boardwalk and Marina. These are just some of the activities you and your family can enjoy.
Fine restaurants and shopping are just minutes away, along with
boating, fishing, snorkeling, diving, and wind surfing facilities.
This resort truly offers you everything you could want for the
perfect Keys vacation, book your week now before someone else does!

After a walk down the usual condo hallway embraced by some lovely landscaping and impressively mature treescapes, came a lovely surprise. One pristine clean (clean smelling too!) 2 br unit complete with a jacuzzi tub - nice and deep, as well as a lovely two seated walk-in shower - easy to use for those who are older. The views were breathtaking if you love nature, this is a great place to stay. A DEAL for the money spent as it is a terrific starting point for driving to either Key West or all the way in the opposite direction to South Beach. And, hmm, the "Kid's " bedroom is situated perfectly - just the right distance down the hall past the kitchen - AND they have their own bath, so mom and dad get some privacy for a change. They can put on their suits and head to the pool in a flash. It's a two minute walk at most. Good location. Goodness, the w/d was a welcome extra as was the dishwasher. Key West is not noted for terrific sandy beaches because of all of the mangroves and protected environments. However, you can drive to some great beaches and thoroughly enjoy the Key's lush natural amenities....see the bird sanctuary, swim with the dolphins, snorkle, sit, kayak, tan, boat, sunset cruise......Bahia Honda Park, matacumbe fish at "The Fish House " only two mins away......delicious fresh seafood of high quality, Anne's beach, Theatre of the Sea takes only 1/2 day, airboat on the everglades, This spot is close to EVERYTHING YOU NEED. We love the ease and attention that Fernando gave us in renting this place. He was available and polite every email. Such a deal! Plus the gated entrance keeps moms and daughters feeling safer. Although it is not "security" it sure does help. Feel free to spend more money at a hotel with half the amenities. Now keep it open...Fernando...for when I want to return, ok? LOL and thanks againRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you very much for you remarks. It's what makes what I do so enjoyable. Come back again soon! Regards, Fernando

This was our families first visit to the keys and we absolutely loved it! The condo was clean and the ocean views were awesome. Our two boys loved the pool here and snorkeling at the Pennekamp State Park. We also rented a boat at Bud-n-Marys south of here and spent a great day on the ocean. We even saw a dolphin and a baby! The weather was hot. We found this condo on the internet and enjoyed staying here! Thanks so much, The Marin Family - Grand Rapids, MIRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Though the photos are accurate the place feels like it's starting to get run--all-in-all we were not impressed. The kitchen was understocked; the bedding (pillows; sheets; comforter; towels) were barely a step above k-mart quality. The 2 tvs and the "dvd player" are really a joke (seriously, a flat screen tv and a real dvd player do not cost that much $$!!). We have rented from VRBO and Home Away a lot of times and have come to expect better than this. We did enjoy watching the osprey nest from the balcony. The bath house at the pool was under construction so they had 2 port-a-potties and the noise the workers made all day totally ruined any relaxing by the pool, napping or reading you wanted to do. We LOVED dining at the Bayside Grille -- great food, good service and a wonderful view (even though it was raining -- so no nice sunset); we enjoyed dining at Hobo's, Ballyhoos, Mile Marker 88. The Fish House and Lazy Days were "ok". Sundowners' was not enjoyable (bad wait staff and my husband's meal was not good). Snorkeled with Keys Diver (just "ok"). Loved Bahia Honda State Park!! John Pennecamp State Park was disappointing. We also did the north and south entrances of the Everglades Nat'l Park -- AMAZING!! Totally loved it!!Owner response: I am sorry you were not impressed with the accommodations. The pictures on the website are less than 1 year old, so that is exactly how the unit looked when you decided to rent it. The kitchen has all the basic items you would expect, if there was something in particular that you needed, I would have been glad to have purchased it for you. I have since upgraded the TV in the master bedroom with a new 32" flat screen along with a new Blue Ray DVD player. The construction at the pool was minor, it was mostly painting and finishing touchs during the time of your stay. The association would never allowed loud noise all day during this time of year. This is a very popular vacation rental destination and many other quests would have complained if it were true. I am sure you noticed in my guest book, I have dozens of families that have stayed in the unit. Every single comment has been positive and they all had a great overall experience!

I LOVED this place! I have NOTHING but wonderful things to say about it! We chose this place because of the pool, and let me say it was WELL worth it. This was a family vacation, so I was with my husband and two small boys - 3 and 5. It was a perfect get away! We had the pool almost to ourselves the entire time. The unit was flawless, and HUGE...a perfect retreat from the NONSTOP sun! It was almost as nice being in the unit as by the pool. Well worth the money. The ONLY people who might not want to come here are people looking for a loud, party vacation with lots of drunk people. This is a very upscale community of people, quite, peaceful, and beautiful. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat from the everday! Any activity your looking for is only a small drive away...beaches, scuba, snorkling, fishing, boat rides etc.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: As a Miami resident for over 30 years, I have always enjoyed getting away to Key Largo for the fishing, boating, and relaxation that is unique to the area. Being able to share the Key Largo laid back life style with other families from all over the world has truly been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. Over the years I have been able to meet so many people and share stories with them. They all seem to have the same things in common, they all love experiencing nature and the outdoors in a way that brings them closer together as a family. I am married to a very supportive wife Charlene and have two great kids, Sofia and Fernando Jr. They all love the outdoors just as much as dad. I am a Civil Engineer by trade, having worked for 11 years at a firm in Miami primarily in the areas of Land Development and Highway Design. In the mid 90's I began renting out my second home in Key Largo to generate extra income and as the saying goes 'The rest is history'. I still keep my Engineering License active (worked to hard to get it) and have since obtained my Real-estate License. I am currently a member of the Key Largo Board of Realtors and I'm presently serving as President of the Kawama Yacht Club Board of Directors.
Why the Owner Chose Tavernier:
I chose to purchase this unit because of its location and because of the spectacular views that it offers. This is a very popular resort that offers modern amenities and a wide array of activities.
