5 O'Clock Somewhere
5 O'Clock Somewhere
The house itself is great. It is located close to the beach and pool. However, we did have several issues with the house and did let the rental company know. The front bedroom has mold and mildew coming down from the ceiling in one of the corners. The master bath shower drain was clogged and very slow to drain. The outdoor patio furniture was in terrible shape. The upstairs living room couches were very dirty and needed to be cleaned. We covered them with sheets all week. Several light bulbs were burnt out in the house and housekeeping told us they would be back to replace them. (They never returned.) There also was a rat living in the grill beside the house. We know that a lot of this is due to wear and tear from being a rental property and the house is for sale, so not sure how often the owner is even there. We felt that with a little TLC this could be an awesome house. We did let the rental company know about all the issues and they said they would check it out.

High Expectations were met!
High Expectations were met!
What a wonderful area and a beautiful house! Being familiar with renting houses my expectations were extremely high. Everything was fairly clean and the majority was well maintained yet some rooms could use some fresh coats of paint! The kitchen was fully stocked with a blender, toaster oven, waffle marker and great items for fancy vacation dinner. The waffle marker was a big hit all week! There was a little issue with the Wifi as it stated it was unsecured but was not, we were able to get wifi from several other houses. There were also several light bulbs burnt out as well, specifically in the shower which made it a little difficult to shower at night. My only major complaint is that we wished there were some beach items available to renters such as chairs, umbrella, sand toys, etc. especially because we flew in and were unable to bring them ourselves. We ended up buying cheap ones and left some items there. It was beyond our expectations and a place we would love to come back to and one which we would recommend! The area is perfect and alway from lots of the noises but close enough to hop over to the action. It is just a 2.5 mile walk to Seaside which we did daily! Sidewalks and running routes for bikers and runners. The pool was great and very close to the house but was not very loud. The walk to the beach was very short too. The little loop is full of beautiful houses which many friends also stayed at and we were able to go through many other houses and we thought this one was the best! Thanks for a wonderful and unforgettable trip!
